Introduce yourself! AKA the "Say hello" thread

Well not much. Free corporate handouts from Coca Kobra - the most hissy of soft drinks (tm), we invaded Mutants Rising, Interplay and Blackisle. (I'm resident C/O of Fort Blackisle as I like to call it.) Clerquer lost 5 limbs in a tragic photocopying accident. Some small rodent got painted blue, we ran out of red biros, and the moon split in two.

Apart from that, nothing really.

Apology accepted.
That was not an apology, 'twas an insult.

Also, if you are going to spam up the Welcome thread, at least pretend to welcome the n00bs.

Welcome Luke, Silencer, Eyemaster and Big T.

Keep on the right side of the rules and you should be fine.

Welcome Big T, whose handle resembles that of our old user, Big_T_UK ;)

Hello, I'm Brian,
a young man from the Netherlands.
Fallout 2 happens to be my favorite RPG. (I'm probably not the only one around here)
When I was younger, I heard about some game called Fallout a classmate of mine was talking about. He liked it a lot, but I never bothered to actually try the game myself, because I thought he had bad taste. Later when I read a very positive Fallout 2 review in a PC mag I used to buy monthly, I really wanted to try it. So I got the retail release of FO2 several days later. The game blew me away. Everything from the post-nuclear setting, the dialogues, characters, mini-quests, overall atmosphere, the combat and all it's goryness etc. made me fall in love with this game.
I felt foolish to not have tried the first game this old friend had recommended me. Untill this very day I still haven't played the original Fallout, but I'll probably buy the Fallout Ultimate Collection one of these days (although I already own FO2 en FOT), since I just need to know by my own experience what the original is like. (however I'm not sure if my system will be able to run it, I've had problems with other old PC games)
I got the idea of playing Fallout 2 once again upon waking up some days ago. When I thought about it, I realised it had already been quite some years since I had last played my favorite RPG. I started doing some searches on Google for any Fallout 'news', this is how I stumbled upon this forum.

Some info on me,
21, Rotterdam, NL
I have a great interest in foreign cultures, especially the food part, I love to cook and eat authentic foreign dishes
-martial arts, I practice iaido, jodo & xia quan (hop gar) kung fu
-spirituality, I practice falun dafa (has it's roots in Buddhism)
-games, there are many games I like, but I have a preference towards games that have an original, creative and dark setting and games with hardcore gameplay (mostly arcade games)
-music, I like many kinds of music, although I have a preference towards (old) soul, funk, ska, reggae, jazz & Jimi Hendrix. When it comes to modern styles I listen to (underground) hip-hop a lot and experimental and electronic stuff. As a hobby I like to create something that sounds a bit like music on my PC, but I mostly end up experimenting with effects and synthesizers.
I like to think about life and the world often, these thoughts can go very deep, I consider myself a philosopher at times. I'm not that much of a party animal, I prefere to smoke a joint and chill out with friends, I do like to visit live performances and music festivals.
Well that's me in a nutshell.

You shall be called Brian who is called Brian!

Yes. You need to play FO1. It is a must. You'll get annoyed by the fact you can't move over 999 Caps at a time and when you're NPCs get stuck in doorways, there's no moving them.

Other than that, welcome!

Welcome Brainwave!

Now get lost. We don't need no spiritual martial arts philosopher freaks around here. We've got too much of those around already and we can't get rid of them. So don't you come here and make things worse than they already are. Beat it!

Do we need to lock you back in your cage??

Fuck that, pope. I'm in a cage already. This funny body I'm dragging around is all I can take for the moment.
