Introduce yourself! AKA the "Say hello" thread

Yup, I'm new here

used to post on the BIS forums for a couple years, and off and on at Mistress's Lair (both with the same user name as I use here, in fact)... been lurking here several months and finally just registered and started posting.
 
Welcome Layle and other assorted noobs. Don't mind the resident doom-and gloom-purveyors, for they are our guards against thin skins, as you must be able to not take things personally in order to survive here! :P

And Rev., I remember you from the BIS boards; did you used to prowl the Lionheart boards, by chance? I was known as godd back then.
 
I did checkout the LH boards from time to time. I was interested in the game's development as the setting and storyline looked like a GREAT idea... just poorly executed in the long run.

But mostly I hung out in the BIS feedback forum, the fallout forum, and, of course, the various flavors of the off-topic forums.

Thick skin... i have that, I hung out (and still do) at Das Musik, where we are the probably the most blatantly rude, crude, and politically incorrect (x 10) crowd i have ever hung online with.

In fact, I think I may have to "behave" while I post here at times, as DM is rather no-holds-barred 99.9% of the time
 
I'm kinda new here, lots of reading, not so much posting.

I've been a Fallout fan since the demo:? . It was my first game i bought (original that is). Love the F2, never touched that Tactics or BoS. :roll:
Anyway, you've got a great community here (worthy of the game :) )

Im 31, Dalmatian. Sina is a short from my name.

I haven't been on any forums for long, because i despise them generally.
But as the time has finally come, that we do have Fallout 3,
in pre production, for real, after all those years,
after all that shit,
interplay, tictacs, and that other shit....
Black Isle going into history...and all that....

Im planing to give what i can come up with, and sometimes it is much, sometimes its not, to help Bethesda do it in a right way.

All those years i always had a small feeling deep inside that it will get made, a sureness that never faded. Never. i was always certain it will be...one day.

And now i have similar feeling that Bethesda will do it right.

So im glad im here , with people that love Fallout as much as i do.

I hope that we will all, and if not all, then a majority of people that love Fallout, make good relations with Bethesda developers working on the Fallout3 and that we will help in making what it was always suposed to be.

It's about time I make a proper introduction of myself as well. As you already know, I'm a Croat, which is a hell of a lot better than being a Serb, especially so coz I get to live in Split and they don’t. Anyways, I’m 22 years of age, strait (unlike what some orderites wish I was) and a senior in software engineering at the faculty of FESB. My hobbies include reading, writing, playing games, running, swimming, weightlifting, making plastic models of ships, planes, tanks etc., and as of late posting on these really cool boards. Since it’s summer time I spend most of my days down at the beach playing the popular game of “picigin” and talking to all local legal chicks (>14). Occasionally I make a trip to one of the islands as I did some two weeks ago to Korcula where I fill the tourists in with our very rich historical heritage. (Note, if someone finds this sentence too profane feel free to let me know and I’ll rephrase it )
My favorite book is Demian, H.Hesse - hence the nick; my favorite philosopher F.Nieztche and my favorite shrink S.Freud. I have no special preference for game genres though probably the most entertaining game I ever played was Planescape Torment, followed in close by the Diablo series. Fallout strikes a special place in my heart coz I’ve never felt more at home with any other game setting, especially back then when I was 15 and first played the game. Strategy games are fun, shooters are a must, and sims are great for those cold winter days (especially submarine ones).
As far as forums go, I’m still kinda getting the feel for them, though I used to post a bit on the BIS forums back then, but not much since the place crumbled. But I’m looking forward to becoming a regular here, at least if the circumstances permit me to do so. Since I’m not writing a CV, I’ll wrap it up here. Thanks for your time guys. You’ve been great so far, especially the Orderites.
