Hey, just part of the big picture. PLus, I think the Iply staff should know that the security systems, which have been partially down, are completely on again + new ones. Evidently this wasn't common knowledge among them.

but as I said, it wasn't just the camera thing that was comfirmed. Apparently Iply cleaned house, and removed many a item. I suppose all that goes on to confirm what is being said.

That and of course I got another thumbs up indicating the Monday thing was off, and it is indeed Friday.

Right. So is there anyone left that doesn't believe us about Interplay being in the crapper?

I feel just a bit sorry for all those poor sods who decided it'd be a wise thing to hang around until now (regardless of their reasons for doing so). Mind you, that's with extra emphasis on "just a bit".

I also doubt those new security cameras will be working for long, though I suppose they only need work until Friday, hey?

Interplay has been in the crapper for sometime now.

Question: Does the eviction from the Von Karman offices mean the end of Interplay?

Answer: No. In fact, this may be the best thing to have happen to Interplay in the past couple of months.

The loss of the office and development staff is a major reality check for Herve. He cannot afford to be his typical arrogant self at the negotiating table when it comes to selling the company. He can no longer ask for 3 times the value of Interplay, as he has done in the past.

At this point, I would bet that if someone like Fargo were to suddenly call up Interplay with an offer, Herve wouldn't be so quick to hang up.

OK i cant still believe this is hapening to the greatest game creators and im gona ask is there a chanse a small chanse that fallout3 will come out finished . Or is it a very small chance lets say one out of million.

It's a million to one chance... but it just might work!

Sorry, I just finished reading Guards! Guards!

And the MORON OF THE MONTH AWARD goes to..

Hey don`t be rough on my Salvadorean friend!

Having said that the chances at this point are, more or less, 1 in a trillion

so what will be with this unfinished fallout 3 now (50% of the game)?

it is lieing now, somewhere in a store and people as WE, fans so much want it, thats stupid if hard work of people which was doing this game go to the trash with our hope...

I'd settle for all the sources and related development apps for FO2 to be "released" by a disgruntled employee

Yeah, but what if it's a nine hundred and ninety nine thousand, nine hundred and ninety nine to one chance. No-one ever says that that they'll crop up.
/geekishness
No, seriously, IPLY is so fucked that even million-to-one chances (the ones that crop up nine times out of ten) will help them now.

What if Herve has a magic talisman, a moustache (done), a birthmark, a magic spell, camel-flage and a magic sword? 30 Obscure reference points to anyone who can identify that!

Your money is better spent at Los Vegas than investment in Interplay.

Makes sense. I hope you are right. I'm holding too with the same thought. Interplay has a lot of hidden value and I'm hoping someone will take advantage of that.

I don't know which is worse. Herve making these extreme blunders, or these complete cabbages go on in denial. Remember, these people also claimed that Interplay stock was going to be in mid-20's next week. When was that supposed to be?

It's truly amusing to see how delusional these people can get to cover up their panic. Each rationalizing point they post is more delicious than the last, and the irony is staggering. Who else to rely on but idiots to fund a company that is run by idiots.

Is there some karma in the industry? I'd like to think so, even if it happens rarely.

Then there's this:

If Interplay was selling no games whatsoever and was boiler room material, then it would be easy to dismiss its "failure" and near death experience. But, you know well that Dark Alliance 2 has sold near 500K units worldwide and it's still not discounted. Who's getting the money.

Correct me if I blinked and missed something, but Interplay only shipped 400k SKUs of BGDA2 before Atari up and yanked their D&D rights accoarding to that 10-K, so where'd the other 100k that supposedly shipped come from?

Interplay was trying to get an advance on future shipments of the title at the time Atari yanked those rights. Given that they can't pay rent, employees, benefits, and everything else, I have to question the 500k number because they only got 400k off to Vivendi before time expired.

No, they certainly didn't sell 500k and as far as I know didn't ship that many either.

I read that whole story on the RB forum too, yeah. It makes some sense, indeed, but I dunno...meh.
