"Isometric turn-based games cannot have good graphics"

The fact that it can should be spread around more, because it could definitely make an impact on general opinions of Fallout fans (including Bethesda ones) as a whole. There's a vast underestimation on this forum of how much influence a community has on a company's decisions.
NMA has a reputation for being toxic, none of the opinions shared here will ever have merit because of the less mature Bethesda fans that don't believe in differing opinions.

I'm not really talking about it as NMA. Once games like Divinity: Original Sin 2, XCOM 2 and a bunch more like them start entering the circulation of bigger games then gamers in general will just start to see that isometric turn-based games can have as good graphics as other AAA games. And once they get past that, they'll finally learn from the gameplay within that graphics don't really matter once you have a solid game.

It's just not prevalent yet because the most well-known examples for isometric games are all the old ones, which have pre-rendered art graphics that aren't very appealing to the majority of gamers out there. Pillars of Eternity keeps this art style despite being a newer game, so it's gaining popularity among cRPG fans but it's still pretty unheard of in mainstream circles.

But nevermind all that, back to the point, what other games would you say have appealing aesthetics in this category of games? I already brought up XCOM 2 and Divinity: Original Sin. Any more?

The new Planescape game has a pretty sleek look in my opinion, it still costs way too much for an early access game but it sure looks pretty.

I don't think anyone said that they couldn't have good graphics.

If an isometric Fallout game were to be developed, however, I'd prefer the graphics to be pre-rendered similar to Pillars of Eternity.

Why can't we just have both? Even Troika was able to do that (shame never did the actual game but still).

Even some of the older ISO games look better than the new full-3D FPP titles. There's no competition because you can't get close enough with ISO perspective to observe the low poly shit you get from down below on games that force that on you.

Plus of course, prerendered painteresque landscapes are still to this date better than the opposition.

And on another note, high up perspective leaves something for the player to interpret whereas up close and personal needs all the details it can get (which it can't).

The only thing I can think of is Spoony screaming "Betrayed me!" for the Xcom franchise when they were going to make ti a 3rd person shooter. If only we had a Spoony for the Fallout franchise I don't think it would have ended up in such a state as it is now.

For those who don't know Spoony:
