Now that you say it, who exactly is DammitBoy? Is he an Orderite? I never see him on the regular forums.

he's a troll from Teh A.O.F. and Asshelmets and no, there is really no way to get rid of him or his backwards arms.

on topick: (get the pun?? HUH???)

edit: ALL of my waivers for defensive backs came through. pretty sweet!

I want to smash Cimmerian.
I hate Peyton Manning, and by proxy you. You've got LT too, pretty nasty weapons there.

My team is filled with primadonnas, whack jobs, and basket cases.
I'm thinking of snatching up Ricky Williams and Pacman Jones just to keep it consistant.

If my players can skate across the thin ice that separates their fragile, child-like egos from mental breakdowns, I'll have a good chance.

BTW I hereby dedicate my season to the boys over at DAC.
suckas.

I don't follow the NFL enough to even know if my team is good... if anybody can take a peek at my team "Ronstoppable" and let me know if my chances are halfway decent, it'd be appreciated.

If not, I'll just muddle through the season, and try not to finish last :).

Some interesting fantasy news (I don't know if you guys pay attention)

Brandon Marshall was suspended for the first 3 games for conduct

Steven Jackson is currently in the middle of [what could be] a lengthy holdout. ESPN analyst said this morning that he might even consider not playing this season if his demands are not met.

I doubt S-Jax will sit.

Marshall, yeah, anyone could see that one coming a mile away. Shame, I got him 3 games less, but hopefully he'll make up for it by playing the remaining games on the level of his final 2k7 games.

I do too. But there are things about sitting out that wouldn't be so bad. First, the Rams are probably not going to be that good. They are rebuilding. 2nd, he doesn't risk injury (coming off an injury year its easy to get hurt again). 3rd - he's an accomplished back so when he did come back - he would have a spot (somewhere).

yeah...i've basically got nfl.com on refresh all day. despite this bullshitty GB situation...this looks to be a fairly exciting year. i'm stoked as poop!

Pretty much all of my waivers came through as well. The only one I didn't get was Devin Hester (one waiver spot away from getting him)

Did EVERYONE pretty much get the defensive guys they wanted? That'd be funny if everyone wanted different players and everyone got who they wanted.

Your set-up is a bit unusual, Twinkie. Though I've scaled it back a bit, DLs are still slightly more useful than DBs in fantasy scoring (according to Yahoo!, your DBs should hit about 90 points over 16 games and your DLs 100 points). You might consider picking up an extra DL, especially for the bye weeks.

Don't forget, everyone: bye weeks. A cursed term.

PS: I've got the defense I wanted. lulz :P

do i have more db's??? fucking hell...that is definitely not on purpose if that is true.

jesus fuck. i'm either stone-drunk at night or barely-caffeinated in the morning while dealing with this shit.

actually...to be fair...there's not really a good time of day for me.

I'm WR heavy, I'll offer up Donte' Stallworth and/or Isaac Bruce for a stout defender.

Hell, I'm not wild about Roethlisberger either...

lemme look into this when more focused!

Stallworth is gonna tear shit up this year now that he's not behind Moss and Welker in the depth chart.

I'd give you both for Demarcus Ware (who I was robbed of off of waivers :shakes fist:)

BTW: WTF is W/T and W/R? is this just a way to have more offensive players get action?

Flex spots, you can put in a WR or TE or WR or RB.

Anyone looking for D spots should come knocking at my door. I'll be interested in trading them for WR depths or possibly a QB, but I'm not really up for trading 2 really good D players for 2 middle-line WRs, as Cimmerian Nights is offering, I'd rather put 2 really good D players for 1 pretty-good WR (not 1st tier, obviously, but still, a good one).

I'd go as far as trading one of my 4 start-worthy RBs plus a defensive player for a really good WR, but then he'd have to be really, really good.

I took looks back in page 2.
Ronstoppable - rcorporon
The last one in drafted #3 and got a good team out of it, but without some of shininess you'd expect from #3.
What rocks: #3 pick Steve Jackson had an awful year last year (1250 yfs and 6 TDs is apparently awful), but should bounce back this year, hopefully to get his promised 2500 yfs. Willis McGahee is a solid RB2. Kellen Winslow is a great TE. Braylon Edwards is a great WR1 and Torry Holt should be good for a WR2, plus the depth behind them is pretty solid with Calvin Johnson and Joey Galloway. Drew Brees is a great QB. Chicago should be solid as a defense.
What sucks: depth in RB, Lendale White is reliable but that's it, basically making this a 2-RB team, which is risky. Vince Young is godawful.
Mike Vrabel is ok, but otherwise needs to flush out and completely replace the defensive player pool.

Yeah, your team's decent-to-good. You're running some risk in RB and will be fucked if Brees is injured, both otherwise you're good.

You do need to look at D players to pick up

Eh?

Oh, I didn't really have a solid idea in mind. And to be honest, you have a lot of flakey guys I'm not interested in. I've never had Chad Johnson or T.O. on a fantasy squad and I'm not really interested, I'm afraid the rest of the fantasy squad would go on a fantasy strike.

Your chances for week one are shit. There is no way to overcome the Milkmen of Doom!

Make your time...

Uh...why?

Your kicker is fine, and fantasy kickers are hardly important.

hey. actually...i was wondering about this (fantasy n00b). i know last year Mason Crosby was at one point leading scorer in the NFC after T.O. is...there less pointage attributed to field goal points or sum'sin?
