Just cause its BETTER doesn't make NV perfect...

Where'd That 6th Toe Come From?
So what kind of stupidity / illogical / immersion breaking things have you come across in the game? Try to avoid outright BUGS in the game.

[spoiler:1474c61343]Why was I able to suggest to Private Edwards that he should talk to Astor about rejoining the NCR before I've even met Astor?

How come its still considered "stealing" when I take stuff from the Bright Brotherhood's home after they have left on the Great Journey and noone is left inside the test site?

How are the scavengers surviving in Searchlight with no anti-radiation equipment or medication?

Jeanne is dead in Novac, but why give me the Motel key? I didn't do anything to deserve it (hell I technically was part of her murder, but you don't know that.) How is it 'returning everything to you' when they didn't take anything?

How do Stim-paks heal ED-E? He is a robot! [/spoiler:1474c61343]

I hate how non-grey the factions seem to be right now. No sights of corruption so far on the NCR and the Legion doesn't seem to have any depth beyond pillaging...

It feels like after you left Goodsprings, every quest sends you straight through the whole gameworld. Quests in which you don't have to leave the actual location become very rare.

The only thing that really buged me all that much was, [spoiler:29fb266f27]Where do the boomers get fuel for the b-29?[/spoiler:29fb266f27]

@zkylon I've found less outright corruption in the NCR, but I've noticed a lot of bureaucratic issues. Its pretty obvious that the NCR is unable / unwilling to do much anything other than support themselves. They seem like the kind of group that would have you fill out a form to fill out a form that will send another form to you in the mail within 6-8 weeks.

The legion doesn't feel fleshed out enough to me so far, but I can certainly see some examples of how they are sort of like these extreme vigilantes. However in their eyes everyone is corrupt, EVERYONE. And their solution is overly violent cleansing.

I hate the fact that there are invisible barriers I can't cross, like when you climb up a rock face and can't quite make it to the very top, even though you technically should be able to, because the game stops you. And I'm not talking about being at the edge of the map, either - it happens within the map, too. I am sure a mod will appear to remove those borders eventually.

Some quests are just step-and-fetch-it, or go-talk-to-her, now-go-talk-to-him, go-back-and-talk-to-her-again quests.

I wish the things you could say to other people were as insightful as the things other people say to you.

Needs to be more people in the towns and the city, even people who don't say anything much. Again, this is something I know there will be a mod for eventually, and I get that there were reasons the devs made the towns the way they are.

Dialog could be better on the PC-part. There is too much just digging for information, and mostly just one or two options to pick "nice" or "dick".
I would prefer it if I could be a more refined character in conversation.

So far I don't like the fact that dialogue sucks (better than in F3 but still sucks) and that "stealing" from powder gangers lowers your karma. Seriously, wtf...

But it's a good game anyway.

Seems like there's already a thread for this but w/e.

@OP most of those are probably scripting errors, happens occasionally to me, too. For example, when I pretty much screwed up White Glove but somehow ended up "idolized". Go figure.

As for the thread title. Well, nothing's perfect, but NV is one of the most fun games I've played in the last few years, and definitely for me the best released in those years. It's got flaws, but at least it's fun.

Oh yeah. Pissed me off much when I've been trying to reach that freaking ranger station Foxtrot.

Not being able to question Victor about him sending the package after talking to Johnson Nash.

I totally agree, I wouldn't mind doing one of these types of posts for FO1 and 2 (if only to appease the fans of FO3 and show we don't worship the games as infallible bastions of perfection.)

Btw, another annoyance (albeit a minor one): After you fix Rhonda for Tabitha, the black mountain radio kept playing for me with Tabitha still talking over the radio. When I went up to the locked room above her house it finally stopped, but honestly it should stop the minute Tabitha leaves.

Im annoyed that, different voice actors are given the SAME EXACT LINES when they could have easily done variations of them.

I talked to 5 non named NPCs, each a different voice actor, each one saying "Pitt gave in and accepted NCR rule"

The Legion gets dark grey at best, the NCR gets a little more (in my opinion anyway.)

What I hate is the constant "Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter" dialogue that always pops up whenever i walk NEAR a NCR trooper. That alone made me turn on the NCR!

OO yeah, I noticed that too. Bugged the crap outta me.

This. Seems like no matter where i go and how much i try to stay out from NCR soldiers, i can't escape dudes telling me "Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for nuclear winter". AHRGHSH

Wayne Newton sounds like he has throat cancer and Big Iron makes me want to commit real life homicide.
