Killap has released the final version ("or at least I hope so") of his unofficial Fallout 2 patch.<blockquote>This patch has been in production for several years now and it fixes well over 800+ bugs left in the game since the official 1.02 patch. I suggest using this installer version as opposed to the manual one since the installer will do everything automatically for you. If you want to do things manually though, go ahead and grab the manual rar version. I hope you enjoy the best Fallout 2 experience yet!</blockquote>Link: download Killap's Unofficial Fallout 2 Patch (US/UK - installer).

Great work killap :-)

It's just amazing how much work you tackled as one man modding army. This kind of dedication for the old Fallout games is really appreciated by me :-) Keep up the good work.

Good to hear man, your a credit to the community. Out of interest, are mods like "B-Team" compatible with this patch?

Good to hear that this is completed.

Can I donate! I want to further things like this.

If you're talking about time, then there's always plenty of projects that need help.

If you're talking money... well, killap isn't in it for any money. :D

hey, bearman, if you're evMer in Belgium, i'll buy you a beer. ;)
I'd take you up on that. Not sure when I would ever make it to Belgium though. My only international travels have been to Canada, Russia, and Netherlands. This coming Spring Break I might actually visit Estonia, but I am not sure about these plans yet. I don't usually do much travel and if I do it will be to other states in the US.

We can squeeze a few more versions out of him yet, I'm sure.
We'll see about that. :D

See my signature.

Oh and for those of you who don't know yet, there is a Mac version of my patch available. Download Mac version here

Thanks Killap.

I don't like some of the changes, and I already burned your June version on my 'Fallout Memories' DVD but what the hell.

What changes don't you like? The removal of stuff for my upcoming expansion? All the other changes were bug fixes, so not sure what is not to like about that.

Like or die?

Most of the changes are great, but the 'expansion' items you removed, the shopkeeper item wipe and the Doc Johnson script are the ones troubling me.

Well, it makes sense for the expansion items to be removed since they are not bug fixes. As for the shopkeepers, yes, I realize there is a concern about this. Sadly no real comments were made about this when this was initially discussed in the patch thread. In any case, since you are the second to speak out about it and in addition to the potential of others losing items, I think I shall go back and modify it so you cannot lose game critical items. As for the Doc Johnson issue, what exactly is wrong? If the problem is that you should be losing more than 30,000 for the implants (such as 48,000) well, that was already in place. What the script had was a check for 48,000 and then it removed 30,000. Thus me making changing the checks to 30,000 is essentially irrelevant. I cannot remember what the dialog originally said since mine said 30,000 but I might have changed this in past patches. If this is indeed the case, then I will change it so you lose 48,000 since the 30,000 would only have been mentioned once whereas 48,000 would be mentioned twice in the script and once in the dialog file.

thanks for doing FO2 the game it was intended to be. Awesome work you do. And I like the item wipe and the other features.

final version? sure? I'll just stay here and tighten the vises in my shoulder, while you reconsider it.

(rediscovering FO2, after long years, with all these mods and patches)
