London flashback: eDome

Personally, I am not going to buy it. I'm going to hope it fails miserably and Bethesda loses money, because that's the only way I see them getting their grubby mitts off the franchise. Maybe ten years from now someone with some integrity will make a real Fallout sequel. I'm willing to wait.

Because I don't have to play every game just because it's there.

Sometimes it is hard to tell if people are joking when they type something like that. To say one sounds bitter is a bit of a understatement.

I guess you chalk it up as stereotypical NMA Post....ya know the one they say gets flung around here all the time.(I've only seen like 4)

I am still hoping you are joking.....for I fear the worse if you are not.

Man, I'd be pissed if somebody stole my picture, wrote down their e-nick on it with a crappy font and used it as his/her sig.

I guess you chalk it up as stereotypical NMA Post

Careful.

There is pretty much no way that Beth can lose money on this one.

Hah. Haw haw haw!

You kidding? With a minimum investment of 20 million USD, they need to sell at least a million copies to even break even. It's pretty easy to lose money on an AAA title.

There's no guarantees. Sure, it looks like Bethesda's massive PR budget means the hype is rolling to sell enough, and I certainly expect it to be a hit (possibly less of a hit than Oblivion was), but anyone who thinks such things are guaranteed is nuts.

I like how you cut out the rest of the statement. And totally misread it.

As for the sig...."Yer jus jealous *hic* ov it"

30 minutes of the Hines strokejob.

Who the fuck has nothing better to do than to watch that? I've got some yardwork needs doing if you're really looking that bad for shit to do.

Looking great. Pre-ordered 3 copies. 2 for my friends and 1 for myself.

Man this winter is going to be great.

No, his personality makes him an asshole, not his communication skills.
having spoken to him in Leipzig last year, he's quite a likeable guy, you know. i bet he's a fun enough guy to spend some time with at a pub.

but sadly what he does for Bethesda is just plain vile...

Okay, okay maybe I mis-spoke on that. I guess what I meant to say is that I doubt that FO3 will be considered a failure, financially. But I've been wrong once or twice before, maybe...;)

I putting your name on my list so I know who to blame for subsidizing and encouraging more of this shit. :D

Well this is going to be one huge list friend, because this game is going to sell at least a couple of million.

Ooo, I'd like to know more of this list. Do we get membership cards? Are there meetings? :)

I was thinking more in terms of branding irons and vasectomies. We really need to nip this bubble-gum ersatz-RPG trend in the bud. Soon any game with a few piddling stats and a dialogue shrub will be the best we can get.
Much like drugs, we need to address the demand for oversimplified, dumbed down adventure games masqerading as RPGS, and not the supply. :D

Well I'm definitely getting the game, just one copy for myself though. If my friends actually played games I might have tried to make them interested in the game lol.

That's cool, I don't have the face-to-face contact, and am probably jaded/biased by what his propaganda is. I just look at him as the face of evil.
