LucasArts destroyed by Disney's Death Star

Battlefront was cancelled more than once, I believe, and one time it was ready to go to print, iirc.

However, they've merely stopped internal developent. Lucasarts will exist, just only as a licensing/publishing house. So There's still a chance for 1313 or Battlefront 3.
 
Not sure if Disney will actually be able to improve what LucasArts has already been doing. But, since they already owned the Star Wars license, this isn't surprising.
 
yeah well, you guys act though like Disney never released quality content, movies, games etc.

Sure there was as well a lot of shit released over the time. But they do have a lot of very successful branches and they do also throw often very good stuff out, like some movies, and a few of the Disney games have been not bad either.

Well there goes any chance for any new Jedi Knight game, well at least any 'good' Jedi Knight.

I guess darkness now has completely fallen.

Actually, is it so bad? DICE, Visceral and BioWare are to develop those games for EA.
Battlefront 3 by DICE would certainly be nice, and Visceral are competent at making Third Person Shooters. Maybe they could do 1313 or a new Jedi Knight game. And BioWare did a great job on KOTOR, maybe they can pull off another one.

A sad day for gaming, they made some really awesome games.

I've got a bad feeling about this....

I don't expect anything more than Battlefield in spess for the new game.
 
Star Wars games are in a decline, and they have been so for years. The last game I really enjoyed was that Star Wars RTS game. But only because it was fun blowing rebels away with Star Destroyers.
