There is no convenient place in New Reno to store stuff, only some shelves upstairs in Desperado and Shark Club (I think? You get into trouble touching any other shelves, like in Cat's Paw).

That old building on Virgin Street (across from the parking lot, behind the Taxi) would be a great place to add a shelf or two. :)

What did you do to GGG and other things?

= Why would I be interested in this mod?

I mean, plenty of places to store stuff in other towns than New Reno. Besides, I think MIB88 will have some surprises for us, like deterioration in a real world of corruption and corrosion. Those 25 Combat shotguns you've stored are going to be just shit if you can't sell them. Go back to that shelf you had them stored in and maybe there is just an 'Iron Ore' there.

Make something cool, and I'll make a safe bet that it might be added to some future version of megamod, in one way or another if it doesn't fuck anything up.

Those of you who are already Megamod players know = calm down! MIB88 is doing all he can.
 
It's nice to have a shelves full of stuff, but it's useless... you can't find any trader that would have enough money to be able buy all this stuff from you, and to be honest, you need for combat only one gun (for example .223 pistol), power armor, ammo and stimpacks. That's all. Or will you carry SMG against rats, combat shotgun against raiders, rocket launcher against mantis and bozar against deathclaws? No. You will rather take the best weapon and lots of ammo (it's sad, but it's true - so many of guns in F2 you never use).

GGG - it does a lot of damage, but only character that are "hard" is Frankie and maybe Ardenius. But both of them can be soloed with overpower .223 pistol. GGG needs a lot of ammo and I rather give 2mm to Cassidy's or Vic's gauss rifle.
 
I just wanted you all to know that I am still around. The project is not abandoned. And I have been reading the boards and considering the ideas submitted. I will be home fairly soon, so I'll be able to do some serious modding then. I have a long list of things to add and fix... and I'm still working on ideas regarding some new quests/locations that really drive home the idea of choice and consequence. Plus, once I get home I can finally start to implement Killap's RP. So, stay tuned.
 
I've just started this mod, and I'm already excited to get into it.

I would recommend one thing, simply because I enjoyed doing the same thing in fallout 1.

That is; larger parties of npcs.

I kind of had to cheat to do it in FO1, however. I find it's a lot more fun and battles are usually longer, and more interesting the more people you have involved.

Some way to recruit generic npcs, like townspeople, or tribals, or especially qualified npc-mercs would be really a really fun addition to the mod.
 
I encountered a CTD while using the revolver with the upgrade.
Each time i try to fire it, bam black screen and CTD.
 
Probably an old bug/problem, but my screen colours distort very very badly randomly in the game. Usually when I try to talk to somebody.

I think this is a game issue and not a mod issue because installing the unpatched FO2 sometimes has this issue.

Im asking here because RP didn't give me this problem, so maybe its specific to the mod.

Damn. Both the game screenshot shows the screen as normal (which it isnt) and the print scree, when acessed through paint, just shows a black screen.

Its so annoying because talking to people becomes impossible as the colous become all distored and horrible. A lot of yellow, green, pink, purple, blue and son on.
 
...hi there i dont know if anyone mentioned next things or not, but whatever :

...1. when i speak with doctor about bringing Ai baby a skynet or biomed gel, nothing happens ( he just says here's a little surprise for you ai baby or something like that...and after that i'm stuck, nothing seem to happen, thats just like conversation window is still on, but i cant get out of there, because there is no variants of answer, but just empty conversation window)

2.i made Lenny a human, but when i managed him to level up, he had like 183 Hp's maximum or something...and when i went to another city his Hp dropped back to first level, it became 103 again, same weird things happen to Skynet Sentry Bot, but not Brain Bot though...

3.the game sometimes crashes (it never happened to me before), so i think its something wrong...application error or something...

...well and there's much more i think, but thats all i can remember as of now...

..by the way what would happen if i completed those task and bring to Ai baby Skynet and biomed gel ? would it be new party member or skynet's armor for example, what reward would be ?

...thats in 2.34 version, not 2.33 though...
 
OK, a peculiar problem.

Reached Primitive Tribe, woodland. But I can't get to the other maps. The knives, radscorpions, wood, spears and all that are there, but not the green exit grid to the next map. Instead it is red, and it just takes me to the world map instead.

Also, the corpse of the young girls is not there (not sure if this is a bug - but RP had it and I hear its also a quest on MM, so just thought id be safe).

Oh, and on a skeleton, I find like 200,000 + money. Which is awesome, but I came here for the quests. Help?

EDIT: And some other bugs.

As a woman, asking Klint for help in the TOT, passing it, meeting him at the Arroyo main map, then returning to TOT, makes him ger stuck there. He will not leave back to the main map, follow you even if you go out the TOT main entrance or anything. Wasted NPC.

Also, giving dogmeat iguana on a stick crashes game.
 
well i kinda dissapointed with Sulik's sister quest, i really was thinking that Sulik's sister joins my party if i completed those quest...well atleast that was i understood under "REUNITE Sulik and his sister" and as far as Sulik is in my party, so to reunite him and his sister would mean him either living my party or HER to join my party, but as far as it isnt what really happens i cant see a point making and even try attempting this pointless quest... :? ...thats not i'm moaning about it, but i really was expecting Sulik's sister to become my party member :cry:

...as for how to find primive tribes ACTUAL place you need to press "2" button on your keyboard, when you first arrive in primitive tribe location...i mean those screen, where you choose what part of location you arrived at you want to start in

Also, lol, the whole reason Sulik was out there in the first place was to find his sister. You're lucky he still STAYS in your party after they are reunited, rather than both of them!

Plus, you are a tribal. Sulik is a tribal.. you don't want too many of those running around now do you? :D
 
yeah, but we need more female NPC followers (tribal or not), other then Miria and that was a great chance... :cry:
 
I know there are a lot of bugs tied in with the new Skynet, the Abbey, and the BOS. I just got back into the country a couple of weeks ago and am spending the holidays with family, but, I will be returning to modding very soon. Thanks for your continued bug reports, support, and helping each other out in addressing any problems/workarounds.

Also, someone else I was talking with brought up the lack of female NPCs and made some suggestions. He said he would work on possible storylines and dialog, but I never heard from him again. One person he suggested was Dalia (woman guarding the path at Vault 15). As I suggested back to that one person, that seemed plausible, but why would she join you? I suppose I could even throw in a female at the Abbey (would give me a reason to add Jane's talking head from F1). Actually, female NPCs really can be added anywhere. But the point is to add someone really worthwhile... someone with character that adds to the game.
 
...glad to hear some news from you MIB, especially such positive...i thought about Dalia earlier too...what about those Enclave female commander...it is supposed to be female isnt it ? ...i'm not sure which one exactly and where, but in some arreas of the Navarro base, there was some female commander i guess...it would be great if we could convince her to join player's team and leave all of her bussines to base's Captain for example, like Marcus did to Francis i guess...i dont remember exactly...well lets say it could worked for player with bad karma, so if i have bad karma she agrees to join, but if i have positive karma, she refuses...what about that ? :mrgreen: i know that is crazy, but it could work hehe :mrgreen:

OK, I have here a suggestion to 'Tune' the Cold Hearts quests.

Firstly, you meet them at Modoc, at the early-ish stages of the game (If we follow the usual Arroyo, Klamath, Den, Modoc path that is). At this point almost nobody will have the car yet, but will be on the way to acquiring it.

Anyway, seeing as their missions send you all over the place, the xp you get for each mission hardly seems worth it, especially on foot. I mean, 100XP for going from Modoc to New Reno and back? You are more likely to acquire more on the way there and back than for the mission itself.

It also kind of breaks the game order, with you visiting all these cities well before you actually have to. Off course, this makes for a non-linear game, which is good. You can also ignore these missions for now and procede with your normal game until you acquire the car and end up visiting these cities for normal reasons.

Off course, by that point most quests will be yielding you much more xp than the Cold Hearts quests.

So this is my suggestion. Each quest should give you much more xp, say like minimum 1500, max 6000, maybe increasing from lowest to highest as the missions unfolold. Depending on who you have to fight, where to go, how much to carry and so on. The one to kidnap Metzgers mum should be worth at least 10.000Xp.

That way, early in the game, you can explore half the wasteland and gain a lot of xp for what I feel is hard work and quite a risky business. (no car, probably poor equipment, no knowledge of the wastes) But, if the player decides to ignore these quests till later, when he is better equiped and prepared, the xp reward is still worth the effort and is in line with what he will be getting from other quests that far in the game.

What do you think?

EDIT: Also, why are weapons so damn heavy? I find myself constantly at odds to carry too much even with 2 NPC's because ammon and weapons weigh like a ton each. Even pistols!

Well, Dalia is a pretty down-to-earth mercenary and I bet she is more or less bored having to guard that stupid path to Vault 15. Her joining you is asa plasubile as Cassidy leaving his bar to travel again.

For other female companions I would advise Angela Bishop. She is a feisty one, she is 8-)

That would be pretty awesome. She could leave if you kill/assasinate her father, adding another layer to the game. (Like Sulik leaving if you are a child killer, or cassidy of you have negative karma)

And I support the idea for Dalia. She does end up in V13 and gets massacred (A sad waste I think) so she might aswell end up with you.

Why not Lynette? You could mod her so her combat abilities, AP's and skills dwarf those of everybody else, including your own. That would be so awesome lol! Maybe as a 'end-of-game' easter egg?

I know MIB88 is working hard for the next release, so I'd love to add my 2 cents of what should appear...

VERY DIFFICULT MOD added plz plz please please

some later level contracts from bounties that help you get past 35lvl

some of the buying ideas from wasteland should appear, hopfully merchants like this could be found via maps or special encounters

Klint bug could be that when he has those other armours on his health must go beyond 999hps and we all know you cant get past that number. ie if he puts on the advanced armor does he not exceed 999hitpoints?

Coldhearts, is it going to be included? I love that old western styler early levels.
