I didn't. Not intentionally, anyway. Does his dialog option say to check out Vault 5? I attached the code so that a location would be revealed. In the RP, let's say that is location 72. In the MM, location 72 might be Vault 5. There are two separate, but connected bugs involved: the first is that a location was called that is not ready, and the second is that it points to the wrong location number. Vault 5 is completely unconnected to Metzger. That location you see is not really Vault 5... Vault 5 was originally part of a mod created by Lich. What you see is probably the map created by Ravager for the Expanded Slavery mod.
 
I looked at your maps and I found that location Metzger gave me was your Slave camp, only on World map looked like Vault 5. Now it get it.
 
Yeah... not sure if this is a listed bug, but am I supposed to appear in EPA from Collyweb?

I was there, dorking around and doing the quest to join that idiot gang. Told to kill someone, so I went after Tony. I used scare-tactics to make him show me his stash. Easy enough, right? Well, it was, managed ot actually fit all those cans on me and my two npcs. But when I leave, the Exit grid takes me to the middle of freaking EPA. Inside the base courtyard thingy. Never been there before. Never even talked to anyone about it?

My two NPCs are Sulik and Vic. Because I just finished the Den before this and went from there to Collyweb.

This was mentioned in one of the last posts of the other thread... and has already been fixed in the patch.
 
I have tried that since patch and I still apeared in EPA. But it is maybe 'cause I've already been there.
 
atomic gamer download not working??

Hi,
Just a note to say that I tried to download the newest version today (July 30, 2009) and atomic gamer said the file was not there.
Maybe the link has become corrupted. ( I tried it 3 times). I had to download from the alternate site that you have listed. :?

Of course they are, because difference between 2.35.1 and 2.35.2 is only one Redding MAP file and you were no able to get into Redding in version 2.35.1, so you couldn't save your game as well :lol:
 
I have a question, does megamod already come with Glovz's Combat Overhaul or not. If not, is it compatible with it?

That is precisely the reason. Changes to maps don't occur if you have already been there because the maps are stored in the savegame folder.

I have no idea what Glovz's work changed. I remember there was a fix to the .exe at one time. Not sure what changing that would do. Probably nothing. If it only changes .pro files found in the data/proto/items folder, then it is mostly compatible. By that I mean if you tried to copy a file from his work to the Megamod and it does not overwrite a file, then that item will be changed, no problem at all. If you try to copy the file and it does want to overwrite an existing file, it may not be a problem, but you may lose out on something like changed graphics or sounds. If you change anything else other than the .exe or a .pro file, then you do so at your own risk, because you will most likely break your game.
 
Actually, forget Glovz mod, I don't think I can even install the lastest Megamod at all. It's way more complicated than the last one.

Is there any installation instructions?

Nope. Not at all. Never wrote a single readme file. Never even included any the other readme files from the authors of the original mods. Didn't include any instructions or recommendations at all. Any files or folders that you might see that say readme are completely empty, blank or figments of your imagination.

I can't help you.

Those files are related to RUNME.BAT and its operation.
 
Hello; thanks for the new version of the mod - keep up with the good work :clap:

One small thing though - I keep getting crashed in Klamath when I give any armor to Klint, make him wear it, save, then try to load. What can be done?

This is a bug mentioned on the wiki. One I can't fix until Klint is completely redone, unfortunately. If you give Klint a new armor, make sure you leave the map before saving and exiting. If you don't, the game will not load and, as far as I know, can't be fixed.
 
Lucky me. I've never once had a problem with Klint, and I have indeed changed his armor several times. *Scratches his head.* I'm a habitual saver, too. Thankfully though, I left his ass behind in Klamanth. I found him unbalancing, what with the healing. Took out all mah fun.

Yeah, I never personally experienced it either. I couldn't believe that in numerous tests with Klint I had never just changed his armor, saved the game, and exited. But, that is exactly the thing that causes the game to be corrupted. Someone else had to point it out to me.
 
Well, megamod seems to work fine for me so far.

I do have a few things to address. The giant cockroaches sometimes have buggy movement in combat, which has them moving slowly, and wasting a whole lot of time.

Other than that, they work normally, and it's nice that they finally have a range attack that they use. Also, is this attack suppose to do extremely high damage when it crits? (On Rough Combat Difficulty, they criticaled Myron with like 80 damage with that attack)
