if you are running hi_res mod,make sure the map_edge folder is megamod242,in hi_res.ini

thats the most likely cause

where could i find those files? i looked into my data folders but couldn't find something like that. i've downloaded megamod from your site, and added nothing else.
 
dont have the high resolution mod installed?it is seperate from mm

and the setting is here
f2_res.ini,change the
MAP_EDGES_NAME=MegaMod242
to that(assuming it is installed)

if its not installed the map has to be altered,will be in next release

As well remove the ability to steal from all of the shop keepers, and change the ratio bartering skill, so items cost a lot and sell for little regardless of how skilled your bartering is – but still proportional to your skill points.

unfortunately is no way to alter only the objects in dude's inventory,currently the best method of altering barter price will be to jack the prices of the merchant goods,i am trying to come up with a good formula to set the prices and make barter worth dumping skills into,im thinking 250% barter skill goods sell for listed price of the item,and maybe 4% less for each point below 250%,any good ideas on the subject?(that one is for anyone),not an easy one to do,anyway it is scriptable now and need to figure a good way to alter the skill

edit : wrote the mod,values may need to be adjusted,the point of the mod is to lessen the amount of available cash in the game,with the default values 200% of item cost stat is lowest price(sold by merchant) and max price is 600% of item stat,will be doing testing on it,if anyone would like to test then send me an email,i will send the files to you,another purpous of the mod is to make barter usefull,with the formula i wrote each point is a 1% subtraction from buy from merchant costs,tho merchant barter skill is concidered,and that has a pretty big effect on the formula,as normal had fun doing it :D

Perceptions drops to 1

I have strange problem, i dont know is it because of mod or something else.

After few hours of gameplay i noticed my perception dropped to 1 and AC gets massive boost like 80 even more and i am in leather jacket. Restarted game, started with new char, and same thing happend again. I didnt drink any booze or drugs, nothing. I was sick of it, didnt know what to do, so i took one of those save editors, edited my save, fixed it , but now its dropping to 1 even faster, after just maybe 48 hrs, so every few minutes i need to fix my save again, its getting annoying. Please if someone can help me.

I am using this MIB88 Megamod and last patch from killap, nothing else

delete weather.ini from the fo2 main dirrectory,it is the weather mod doing it,that will disable it,and to get rid of the error messege that will result,delete gltrain.int from data\scripts\ folder

All reding is attacking me

Hi ,me again, this time more serious matter. When i enter reding, all town is attacking me, i dont know why, been there before only once, i was escorting caravan from NCR. After that i left town and i didnt return, didnt do any quests there.
 
Hello

I keep getting hit by insta kills from critters and not always big ones.A deathclaw hit me for a nice one and it made sense but an ant can score one just as easily with 6 damage.I looked through the damage ini file and found no setting for it so Im wondering if you can tell me how to put it back to normal.Im using the most up to date Megamod, newest Sfall, skillbooks mod, random loot, and custom perks.Its a nice feature but it happens to me way too often and I have yet to actually score one myself.

i will fix that,it should not call that code on the player,take a few min

edit : not seeing why it is affecting player,added additional checks to make sure it is not player,if it continues you can turn it off by setting

SlayerInstantKillPercent=0 and AimedHeadKillPercent=0

let me know if it happens again with and without them turned off please,uploaded

Im still getting hit with insta kills like crazy.I dont see what you changed in the the damage ini that comes with custom perks either.Maybe Im misunderstanding you and im looking at the wrong thing.Im currently in Reno fighting the Masticator and he hits me for 0 or very little damage mostly, until he scores an insta kill.Im assuming that you meant an updated version of the damage.ini was linked on your sight when you said uploaded but the one I have is exactly the same.You had mentioned to another guy in a previous post some pages back that he should have gl_combatdamage and gl_tohit in his script folder and i have neither of them, am I supposed to?I never had them to begin with.

Edit:Looking through the damage ini again i found this

Is that the vanilla setting?Alot of this might as well be chinese to me so Im sorry if these are silly questions or if Im complicating things.

Also, I see a setting for instakills on an aimed shot and if I have the slayer perk.What about instakills from a regular unamied hit from critters?
 
the change was in the script,no you should not have those 2 gl_ scripts,those were when sfall had a bug,i added another check,this one is in the rebuild bit flag for the return,i am not seeing why the player is being hit with instant kills,maybe it is something else,do this,uncomment the line

in ddraw.ini,and put in the path to your fo2 folder,add some text file,and post what it is telling you when it instant kills you,the file will contain the text from the game,untill you start a new game

added another check for instant kills,this time in the rebuild bit flag field that returns flags for the game to processes,let me know if it happens again,and please post the last few lines of text

uploaded(it will be in perks mod, party perks mod,and difficulty mod)

This is with the new scripts

You were hit for no damage.
Boxer was hit in the eyes for no damage.
Boxer was critically hit in the head for 6 hit points. The blow knocks him to the ground.

You were hit for no damage.
Boxer was hit in the head for 5 hit points.
Boxer was critically hit in the head for 9 hit points with no armor defenses.
You were hit for no damage.
You were critically hit for 12 hit points.
You were killed.

I have removed three things from the scripts folder hs_tohit, hs_combatdmage, and hs_afterhitroll because with any or all of them in the folder there are absolutely no crits.I tried keeping them in seperately, together, in different combinations, before and after i downloaded new scripts from your sight with the same results.I have left the damage ini on its default settings and have setting 2 selected in ddraw for the crit tables.
 
if those scripts are not installed,then the instant kill has nothing to do with my mod(s)

that is why my edits didnt make any difference

edit : please list all of the hs_ and gl_ scripts in your data\scripts\ folder
