I need a little help MIB88.
I made the patch000.dat, but something strange hapen. When I start the game an window pop up and it's look like this "wmAreaInit::Error loading Cities!" What the H**L is this?
I tryied mulltiple times but it's not working.
I didn't have this problem before.

I use the DAT Explorer only to extract the files and to unpack them with DAT2/DAT2FRAME.

Edit: In the MOD data directory it is one folder with the name PCX. This folder don't exist in org. Master.Dat and I'm not sure were to put it.

The only time I have ever seen that error is when I was using the unpatched .exe file because of the city limit problem. You didn't accidentally replace the Megamod's .exe file with the regular one, did you?

Don't worry about it. I have done something similar so many times, working with all these files and then placing the wrong one in the game (or in the update to be sent to this site).

As for that pcx folder, I don't know. It should work if it is placed along with all of the other main folders (like proto, maps, scripts, eyc.) in the master.dat or patch000.dat. If not, you might have to keep it in a separate data folder in the Fallout directory.

Thank you. Radna actually means "work in progress" / "map being worked on" because I never really thought of the name for that location :) The foot is there because I wanted to try to make it look like Godzila passed through town. U know like a secret location but realized that I would have to delete many parts of the existing map so I just left 1 footprint. I actually did 1 vault/bunker map. Don't know if I still have it because that was 2-3 years ago when I was still learning to use F mapper. This is part of that map and its not good....

I wanted to make a typical '50s comic but with fallout scenes. Too many ideas and almost no time :( If someone wants me to do some maps pm me so I can confirm I have free time. Don't wanna bs you.

I think some grafic interface it's involved.

The rest is working fine.

I got the e-mail, though I didn't open it up yet. And the problem is most likely related to the pcx folder. What did you do with it? Is it in a patch000.dat file, master.dat file, or left in the data folder?

I have no idea how it works, that is something TeamX made for the Mr. Fixit pictures. Alright, give me a little time. I will make a patch000.dat file and get back to you.
 
OK.

I think is FRM or RIX for splash. I know a little Russian language and P is R in my language.

Edit: I found a program to open pcx. Is all the grafic to Mr. Fixist.
It is posible to transform in FRM?

It's working. Don't put PCX folder in patch let him in data folder.
Now the patch is completed... What's happen next?
 
Just wanted to give you all a brief update. I have started to add in another mod - a major mod. It will not be ready for a while due to some translations that need to be done, however I need to lay the groundwork for this. Unfortunately, previously saved games will not work due to a few of the files that have to be changed. Sorry, folks, no way around this.
 
MIB88 your megamod is great to say the least. I'm excited that you are endevoring in adding the fallout forever mod. Big props for you translating so much- that really impresses me.
Well I hope you can help me get Lenny the NPC. I believe that you posted you were going to fix it in the next installment but I would really appreciate it if you could help me fix even just that. I've read in a walkthrough posted on NMA that you can have Miria, Brainbot and the two Cyberhounds after you have six NPCs. I sold Myron to Merk in NCR hoping to get Lenny to round out my posse. Help out a fallout die hard and I'll be gracious.
Would you also recomend some utilities to program mods, etc? A few friends of mine are interested in programing some story lines we've created playing a pen and paper rpg Deathlands: the wasted west. nothing that would infringe on intelligectual rights or not be 100% true to the spirit and timeline/history of fallout.

Ah, Deathlands. Maybe not the best literature out there, but still a fun read! :)

As for the translations, I wish my skills with the Russian language were that good, but that isn't the case. Dude101 has recruited a few people to work on translations (and I am sure he will gladly accept more help). I am only doing the technical aspects of adding the mod.
The issue with Lenny has been resolved. You can get him now. However, you still need to meet certain requirements - talked to him before, good town rep, not be over your party limit, and a HIGH charisma (maybe you need to try some mentats).

As for utilities, I use the following:
the Fallout Item Changer is a really good one to have
Cubik's item editor is an awesome tool
the official mapper
Dim's mapper (sometimes has bugs with final maps, but great to change small things or just look at maps)
Ruby script compiler/decompiler (Most people probably use the Fallout Script Editor, but Ruby works better for me)

Of course, there are lots of other tools out there, just find something you like using. I don't mess with graphics, so I can't help you there. Good luck.
 
ah I figured it would take a team to translate fallout forever :wink: thanks for the tip on lenny. meybe you can only try once and I didnt meet the requirements the first time, saved and messed it up? oh well fallout2 is always fun I'll just replay it, meybe after the new addition to the megamod 8) I'm looking forward to checking out those utilities, I would really love to contribute.

We have 6 translators working on Mod dominion AKA Fallout forever now, vault 14 is nearly done, the small mod a letter from the past will be done soon also, we may translate Sokil mod to. After we are done with these mods we will assist teamx in finishing AL, then we will work on a Rus release of the megamod.

More translators are needed to ease the work load expectations on our team.

Does the megamod affect anything with Shadow-who-walks from the Raider Base? I snuck into the base and was surprised that he still didn't do or say anything.

No, I don't have anything for that. However, I think that Killap was working on that aspect for his expansion project.

@Darkstar: You can't mess up getting Lenny. You can always go back and get him. You aren't an enemy of Gecko, are you? The other requirements can be done at any time.

Edit: I am going against my policy of not giving game help, but I need to verify that this is working properly. Getting Lenny worked fine for me the last time (I am not able to test the game now). Go back and talk to Lenny...especially about the GECK. Let me know what happens.

Well my character has 10 PE, IN and PE. I've fixed and optimized the power plant too so I'm idolized in Gecko. I ask Lenny about healing, he reveals that he practiced before the war, that vault city wont help the ghouls and thats about the only dialoge options. thanks again tho.

Do you have a game from before you met Lenny? You should be getting a dialog option where you can ask him about the GECK. That is the trigger that leads to getting him in your party. Are you able to test that? Either way, it seems odd that you cannot ask him about this even after the first time you met him...
 
2 days ago while I was playing a mod I got into Navarro and got plans and power armour. I went to SF as soon as I got the part from Gecko. Ok the problem is that game crashes after I try to leave Navarro either by car or by foot. The only party member is the dog I fixed. Anyone knows why this happens ???
