Loving the mod so far - brilliant work. Only glitch I found so far is that even if you're standing toe-to-toe with a critter, you can't hit them with the bolt - the one you get just inside the ToT, IIRC, because you're 'out of range'.

Now that is just plain weird. I don't remember even messing with this object. I see that the AP needed to use it is also messed up. I will fix these. Thanks for letting me know.

No sweat, chief. :) I should have pointed out before that sometimes it does work and sometimes it doesn't, which makes matters doubly weird. I suspect that it has something to do with whether you go into attack mode by clicking on the weapon icon in the bottom middle of the screen, or whether you cycle through the cursor modes to get to the attack option that way. Dunno, though.

Actually, I just tried it again. Turns out that there are actually 4 attacks. The first two, for 1 AP each, don't work; but the next two work fine and for the correct AP. I will modify the weapon to remove the two broken attacks.

Edit: Fixed.

Vault 13 bug

Thankyou MIB88 and to all those who were involved in making this mod so much fun!

I have encountered a bug:

In vault 13 I cannot replace the computer voice module, everything I have tried pops up the dialogue screen where it only lets me examine or break the computer, it will not let me replace the voice module.

Please help!

Thankyou once again!

 I guess if it isn't on the very last page then it really isn't worth looking for, huh?

Sorry MIB88, I used the search tool and i couldn't find it. Now that I manually went through the pages with my trusty ctrl-F i found it! Thanks a lot!

Btw. I noticed that the big chest in the warehouse just outside the sierra army depot (where you get the howlezer shell) is called Horrigan's body. I didn't look this up before mentioning it though...

Thanks again

Ah crap...thanks...I will check this one out...

Edit: Ah yes, I remember now. I added a new item, but didn't add it to the screen name list. I will make sure this is corrected.

Great. Another bug that I am not experiencing. Makes it really hard to track down the source. I will check out the map script for that location. However, it doesn't make sense that you would simply stop losing karma at 0...it should just keep going into the negative. OK, try this one for me: load up the saved game and enter the map. Check your karma immediately. Then close the character screen and check it again. I would like to know how quickly the drop occurs. Also, it might seem like a random question but still: has your character taken any slaves?

Happens instantaneously. Soon as I hit Vault 14 I quickly click C to bring up the char screen, and my karma is at 0.

Is this reproducible? I have encountered this map before without any problems...and I usually just kill the rat with other weapons instead of using the HHG on it. And I don't remember any changes being done to this encounter except for changing the placement of the car if you have it.

I tried it 3 times and the result was the same but killing it with normal weapons works fine.

I don't know if this has any implications for the bugs but I'm not running the humongous version, I'm running the large version...my disc won't install the humongous one, it stops 3/4 of the way there.

Did you have any slaves with you? Also, what part of Vault 14 does this happen on: the map where you first encounter the 2 mutant guards or the map after you have gone through the door? Also, who is in your party?

I'll check out the script for the rat then. I don't think it matters what size installation you use for the Megamod. I mention it as a tip for installation because that seemed to work for one person. I mean, the larger the installation, the faster the game runs in general. However, the fact that you are unable to install the humungous version might lead to other problems. Why would it stop 3/4 of the way through if all the files were good?

No slaves (never tried to do anything but free them), and this happens on the map with the 2 mutant guards by the elevator. I have a full house, 6 party members...Marcus, Sulik, Vic, Skynet, Cassidy, Klint.

I've entertained that thought too but I'm not sure. My previous copy of Fallout 2 was kinda scratched and would stop 3/4 through the large installation, I could only install the two smaller ones, so I got a brand new copy and that one would stop during installation too, just a step up from the older one. I think it's a problem with the computer itself.

Run a basic search to see if this has been posted before, and here goes:

Coupla glitches in Modoc.

1. Was once able to 'fool' the scroll blockers in the map with the Tannery/top-of-the-boarded-up-well-with-Johnny's-BB gun so that I could see round the back of the exit grid leading to the new map with the child Gareth and the dog Shaddup on it. Haven't been able to reproduce the problem.

2. First time I crossed onto the Gareth/Shaddup map I got an error message in the window bottom left.

3. I see you've addressed the problem with the trapdoor on that map. ;)

@lmao: Thanks for the clarifying info. I still don't have any idea as to the cause of this, as I have the same party members, and you have the same map as I have for Vault 14, so it isn't the script attached to the location. I'll keep looking.

Let me know if #1 happens again, but random errors happen all the time. As for #2, it's gotta be the dialog file attached to the location, associated with the dialog errors. It'll be right in the next release.

MIB, has anybody mentioned anything about the endings?

They start playing after one another, cut in the middle, miss entirely, show all the pictures for a location (not considering what you did).

Can you be a little more specific? The only thing that I recall at the moment doing was adding in alternate endings for Vault City and the Hubologists as well as the ending for President Richardson from one of Killap's patches.

Wait...all the endings? Is this reproducible?

It's very weird, I get half the ending for Arroyo, it gets bumped, then cuts the other intros, showing pictures and small pieces of speech that gets cut by other endings....

I can give you the save game.

The endings that aren't completely playing, are you able to tell what locations they are from?

MOD eats too much resources. I have P2 400MHz/192MB RAM Win 2k SP4, and it eats all CPU time, 200MB of RAM+virtual memory and crashes on the exit of Arroyo.

Dude. You should really get an upgrade :D i could buy a better comp saving cash from recycling beer cans

And i do believe it would be more of a win2k issue than a mod issue... coincidentally, a mate of mine managed to play this mod on a comparably crappy computer with no "resource eating" prob. Only he plays on win98.

Have you read this? -> Link

I could buy better comp, but it spoils all the fun of making things work. And FO2 is supposed to work with it :!:
By the way problem maintains on Win 98
And yes, I have read all installation guide. Clean install and all that.
