That's fair, but since he mentioned he actually used it in checking the mod, i thought i'd ask. In any case, the problem resolved itself once i passed the temple of trials. I do still wonder about the weapons mod though...

I notice a bug in V14.

Rescueing the Human prisoner (LvL 2) results i a loop.
The only way to stop it, is to quick go in combat (A) and Sneak after say "Farewell"

Else infinited 500 XP.

no bug this time
I think it has to do with the position off that man.
This time he didn't move during the battle.

Maybe that has something to do with it.
The first time he stand with his back to the door.

Rynie was absolutely correct. Also, I didn't use any cheat tools to check the game. However, the reason for some of your crashes is because your starting character doesn't have the animations to wield certain weapons. In fact, I think it has animations for only a few weapons.

As for a weapons mod, it will work if it only changes existing weapons. If it adds weapons, then it won't work.


***EDIT: Wait a sec. This isn't entirely accurate. If you change only existing proto files, then the game will work. However, you may still need to edit the pro_item.msg file if the descriptions have also been altered. If you use the weapon mod's pro_item.msg file, if it has one, then your game will be messed up.

If using the Bolt it should be 1 AP, but cannot reach/hit the target.
If Sulik or Klint using the bolt they still just can hit 3 times.

Second:
I killed some Enclave Troopers in random encounters. One had an Adv. Pwr. Armor with Plasma Rifle. I gave it to Klint.
If Klint wearing an Adv. Power Armor i get the message : A.Pwr.Armot (don't use)

You said the karma bug was already mentioned. No need to mention it again.

I will fix the human prisoner.

The armor for Marcus adds a number of new traits...at least according to the script. An increase in carry weight (Strong Back) is just one of them.

Bolt and Klint armor: Addressed.
 
If I say something is "addressed," it means that I have already written about it in this thread. Easy search.
 
Another bug Vault 13

I just wanted to check if Quick Goris was implented so i went in Combat Mode (Quicksave)

After Quickload I get the message 2000 XP for finding Vault 13 and the mesaage & sound from leveling up

For every F7 i hit you get the message, but I didn't get the 2000 XP.

In other versions it was not possible to steal from Enclave Patrol Troopers. Not possible to stand behind them, needed 1 tile between.

After the Deathclaw is killed:
I have Sneak 151 and it's possible to steal from them. Only the one with the Plasma Rifle notice me.


Same With Kago, steal his stuff :D

Looks like Vic has a bug.
He's leveling up, but after reloading going back to his first stage.
Even with Adv. Pwr. Armor his stats are:
HP: 70
Skill: Repair
Carrying: 150
Melee damage: 1
AP: 8
I noticed it wenn checked his health.

Thanks for the reply! You are spot on about the limited weapons animations (even the knife animation is missing for the tribals!).

With regard the weapons mod (or this particular one, in any case), for whomever might be interested, applying it on top of all the megamod updates seems to mess up descriptions for the "new" items from some of the mods in the compilation. But, it seems a good patchwork fix (at least thus far in the game) is to apply the weapons mod, and then apply the 2.1.1 mega mod update. If i run into any other problems, I will try delving into the proto_items.msg file. And i will be wary of any other weapon mods that boast new items!

Finally, not to belabor the point, but the full title of the inventory editor mod, according to the readme, is ""Fallout 2 Inventory Editor v1.01 for Mod Makers". My apologies, MIB88, if i mis-remembered, but if you didn't write about the mod, then it was most certainly in one of the included readmes for another mod in your compilation. My mistake.

Why has the H&K G89 and his big brother no "One Hander" Bonus?

And what about repairing the Phazer that i found on that shuttle crash.
Is there a person who do that for me?

I'm sorry, but I don't understand your first question.

As for the phaser, it isn't meant to be repaired, or else you'd be able to kill anything in just one shot. Just consider it too technologically advanced for anybody in the Fallout world to be able to understand/fix.

Weapons fall under the one handed, two handed, or big gun category. I don't know what was originally intended, but using an item editor I see that even though the walk frame used is as a sub-machinegun, it is checked as a two-handed weapon. Why do you say it is supposed to be a one-handed weapon?

Well then i'm confused. Why else Sulik/Lenny can handle them in the original version. And maybe a good idea to change the picture, they look like one handed weapons :D
I think it's also not good balanced.

H&K G89X has a range off 40, Winchester 35 but still have a higher chance.

Strange, just checked it because i know Winchester is two-handed.

In case you conserne. Merin (alien) is like Klint conserning join the party, no Char check :D

I seem to remember you need to expose his enclave background and then mention maria. I got the right sequence thru trial and error.

If all else fails the spoiler method would be to read thru the entony.msg (dialog file for Fassard) and workout the correct dialog.

As for the error, I believe the forthcoming update should fix that, but if you get the right sequence it won't matter as once you're finished with the training Fassard walks off the map.

Well my Karma = 0
I thought to get that Armor for Marcus first before even do more, half way the game Karma=0 is no fun :D

Just came back from V14

I try different options with Fassard.
Whatever i do he wont tell me about the enclave:(
All he say is about the "A Spy !?"
After a 20 quickloads it's starts to get really annoying.
I think because my Karma is low he not go in dialog with me.

I notice befor yesterday he was calling about the Enclave, but then i not talk to Maria yet.

Hmmm. "NEW GAME"
Besides, One Hander trait is good for A Melee Character with his Mega Fist :D

Take a good thought about making a nice Character now.

Couple things in Primitive Tribe:

1) When you enter the outer area and head north and slightly east, there is a gecko who doesn't seem to be able to see you until you attack. He doesn't move around at all. You can walk right up to him and even fight all the rats right next to him without getting any response at all. But once you hit him, he will fight back.

2) I used steal on one of the tribals, and he immediately attacked me. Usually you can open the steal screen to see what is there before you decide wether to try stealing or not. Not on these tribals. They attacked me right away. Don't know if this is a bug or not.

3) After the tribal attacked me for stealing, I fought and killed the whole village. Sulik was in my party the whole time. I found it strange that he would stick with me as we were killing his tribe and even his sister. Also, there didn't seem to be any karma drop at all for killing the whole tribe.

Thanks for the list.

1. I am sure this is just a missing gecko script. Easy fix.

2. I just casually looked over the scripts for those in the tribe. (I will look closer at them later when I have the time.) I didn't see anything that would cause them to freak out at stealing attempts. Maybe a variable is called wrong - 821 - which makes you an enemy of the Tribe. Do you remember which Tribesman you attempted to steal from?

3. Weird that there is no karma drop, as that code is in their scripts. As for Sulik, you are partially right. I will add the code that if his sister is killed, he will turn on you. I think the story needs to be modified slightly. Or maybe I remember it wrong. But if I remember correctly, that is not the tribe he and his sister comes from. His sister just wound up there. The part that needs to be modified, then, would be how Sulik knew of that tribe.
 
I'll replay the scenario later today and double-check the karma drop (or no drop).

As to which tribal I stole from, it was one of the generic males. And, this happened after fulfilling the gather weapons quest and helping the shamaan and reuniting Sulik with his sister. I had not repaired the well. So, I was not an enemy of the tribe.

But, like I said, I'll replay later today and let you know if I learn anything.

Attached the missing scripts to a pigrat and the gecko.

Also, I had a few minutes to really look at the generic tribe members. According to the script, you get to use steal one time free. You won't get to see the inventory, but you will be warned not to do that. If you do it again, you will become an enemy of the tribe. That might seem a little unrealistic. Maybe I could add a code that this only happens if your steal skill is below a certain level...
 
Marcus Level Up and lost his Strong Back Perk.
HP 130 > 145
His carying weight goes down to 275.
His armor is not working anymore.

Testing with Red Ryder LE BB Gun
Before Level up : 10 HP damage.
After 14 HP damage.

This is trustfull, Red Ryder always same damage.

How can we fix this?
If i check the PARTY.TXT there i only see Merin v14Mod, why isnt there one for Marcus?

Can there be the problem?

All those traits that are added to Marcus are done through a script. When he levels up, the changes are done through a proto file. This means that the new proto for Marcus loses all benefits from the script. I didn't know that would happen.
Creating additional proto files for Marcus in armor will not achieve the same effects that he gets from armor. You will just have to believe me on that.

However, I think I have just figured out a solution to this. The problem would be to make sure it is scripted correctly...
 
I have Goris now and his coat is very slow, annoying.

So i copy the 2 files in the critter map

1) Again have a problem with Fassard.

First time (First game) i met him and he was speaking with me about the enclave, but i not spook to maria then.

I start 2 times a new game and first went with Marcus to V14 for his armor. After that i went to Maria and back to Broken Hills.
Navarro Quest say: "Find EUSAF pilot Anthony Fassard"

CH 8 / Speech 90 / Karma 392 (Champion/Prizefighter)
Blackbox in my inventory, maybe that has something to do with it.
Why he don't talk?

2) Another bug with Cassidy in entrance V14. If put off his armer he disappears, but you see him running wenn i'm running (like a panik farmer).

Do i first have to do the quest Maria/Fassard before i even go to V14?
