i have been a fo2 player since the game first came out. hell, i even quit work for a month just so i could finish it. anyways...

2 things about this mod:

1) totally awesome.
2) read 1

this is very well put together even though there are a few issues with it:


-game still stalls at marriage with Miria and Davin

this works if you click on Miria instead of her father after you have violated her, (i didn't try it with Davin as there is no way i'd marry a dude... even if it's a pretend dude).
i did originally get the "stall" but after about 10 min of trying to get it to work like the original fo2 (clicking on her father), i decided to click on her instead, it took me (us) to the church and my life has never been the same since.

i still get a few "ERROR" txt msgs when talking to certain people and it's not due to a bad install of the mod, as i've done 3 clean installs.

i'd love a walkthru as i'm used to playing the original fo2 and can't find a lot of things like the extra towns that were added. i have found Abby and a few bases but that's about it.
or atleast could you tell me how i can find the added towns and such?

anywho... thank you for a great fo2 experience, and i am looking forward to the next installment.

I know of this error, of course, but never heard that just clicking on her would set things right. I just remember getting her to say something like "You need to talk to my father" every time I did that. Anyway, I will keep working on this.

I don't foresee me doing a walkthrough for a long time. But if you look through the readme files for the various mods, you will find a lot of the information you are probably looking for. I changed the Abbey and EPA to be in keeping with the Fallout Bible. Bunker 21 is a pretty random one though, but I am pretty sure it has been discusssed in one of the two threads about this mod. Worst case, you will get an idea of new things to try just by reading through the list of changes/fixes in the Megamod readme files.

You mean 2.4? I can't even guess when that one will be ready, since I just started it last week. My plan is to have more of Alternative Life included, the Sokil Colly mod (hopefully), and a couple of other minor additions.
 
Is there anyway to make the Falche 2.1 work with the Megamod? Basicly I'm beginning to think I need to restart my game, and I don't want to waste a lot of time powering up again. Thanks.
 
I have no idea how Falche works, nor any intention of making it compatible. If someone else wants to get it working, then great. However, that is not one of my projects to work on.
As a general rule, you do need to start over when I release a new version of the Megamod (if you want to play it, that is). There are so many files you can add or change to Fallout and still be able to use old games. However, there are a few files (like Vault13.gam and party.txt) that, if changed, render previously saved games unusable.

it's more stable then the original, even a patched original.

i'm not exactly sure that it happened as i said it did. you see, i was quite pissed that i kept getting the "stall". so after we did the nasty, i went nuts on my lmb and just started clicking everything and anything in the room. but i do know that the cursor was on her (or very close to) when we finally made it to the church.

i'll start a trial game and test this theory out.

actually i haven't met Tony yet. but Kaga was screaming "ERROR" as i slapped his hiney around the wastes like a redheaded stepchild.
at first the dialogue did show, but i met him once in the new area on the main map (the new stuff below V13, V15, NCR, etc...), he was wearing what looked to be advanced powerarmor and carrying a gatlin laser, and whenever he was hit, the "ERROR" thing popped up. he said it till the last BB hit him in the eye. he lost.

i haven't found the EPA yet, but i have found Abbey, Bunker 21, Primative Tribe, some new randoms, some old randoms, including the Cafe of Broken Dreams in the new area below the original main map. but i have found no towns or anything else down there other than CoBD. is there spose to be anything there?

i've read somewhere that the fo mapper needs to be running for this mod to work? if this is true, then that may be my problem as i am not running it.

take your time. i've seen many mods go to crap because they were rushed.

What you are referring to is the last encounter with Kaga. This fifth encounter is messed up in a couple of ways, one of which is that no dialog was written for that encounter (the reason for the "errors").

There is one location there in the 2.3 release. That area is primarily for the new locations to be added from the Fallout Dominion mod. The random encounters can happen anywhere, though.

No, you didn't read that. Or, if you did read that, it wasn't on this site and it was written by someone who was completely high.

if there is a location down there, i haven't found it yet and i have an outdoorsman skill of 89. i been to every tile on the map and i've found nothing, other than random encounters. oh well... another game. or maybe my outdoorsman skill needs to be higher.

iirc, i was linked through the MegaMod Wiki site when i was first thinking about downloading this mod. or i just misunderstood what the 2 people were talking about.

i'd love to help so it gets out a bit sooner but the only thing i'm somewhat good at is gfx editing.
though i have played with the master.dat and critter.dat a little, but that was to rip some things from them for another mod i was working on a few years ago.

Encase there are any idiots here, like on Beth soft: there is a UK flag which changes the language to Eng from Pol. The download can be found in the "download" section hehe, you should check out the Beth thread; man, those people want you to hold there hands, whilst taking a dump.

Thanks for the offer, but most of my work is script related and testing. However, if you happen to speak Russian, that would be awesome, as there are some mods I want to finish adding but I don't have full translations.

This is a good site, don't get me wrong, and if they happen to snatch it up and release it, cool. I just felt like spreading the wealth around, and gave FMC the 'scoop' on the mod.

"Falled" works. You can edit SPECIAL and other things with it. But you can't add/remove perks. Isn't 100% functional but it helps.

also, i guess i have been using version 2.1.1 of the mod, so i can't say if the info i gave is good to go. i have been using whatever is on NMA, which are:

i have just downloaded the 2.31 full and the 2.3 to 2.31 patch, that Dude101 kindly linked us to. which of these do i install? i don't think my version is 2.3.
i've googled 2.3 but all i can find are the three i listed above and the two i just downloaded.
 
I like things simple. Reinstall the game. Add the full 2.31 (you don't need the patch or any other version). That's it.

As for the empty map space, it's for the addition of another mod that hasn't been fully implemented. So, the only things there are one location if you get the quest and the random encounters.

that's easy. i just delete everything, drag the contents from the cd to my new fallout folder, add the mod and done.

i run xp so i can't install from the cd. and the good thing is, it doesn't have a registry entry that says it's installed. atleast i've never found anything.

bah. i spent like 5 years on foot going through that area. oh well, atleast i found dogmeat.

installing the mod now. and i'll try that Miria thing to see if it happens again.
 
May I suggest to put all the news in the beginning of the topic? Lots of modders are reserving the first posts and are editing them once they've released a new update.
 
You're right, but MIB should create his own post, for update purpose. If you know how it's structured civfanatics, you can't say that I'm wrong.
 
awareness doesn't works with 2.3

edit: could someone tell me where can i get editors for fo2 (like a item, npc etc editor)
i know some of the files can be opened with a notepad, what about the others?
