Mods you hate or dislike

I don't like any of these companion mods and it already starts with how they look. I just don't think any of them fit into the vanilla game. That's the case for any other FNV mod as well: If it doesn't look like a part of the vanilla game, I don't want it in my game.

Oh my......

You have to appreciate the effort of the author and the rest of the crew, but this mod is AWFUL

Did someone played this one?

I finished it now and could hardly believe what I was seeing

Specially when the story was fine to begin with and didn't need any fixing except for some minor things.

STALKER lost alpha is probably the worst mod I have ever played.

I also dont like mods that add to a game in positive ways but also have unnecessary more difficulty to an already difficult games

Blame me, I kept playing after seeing the quest where I had to convince Graham to kill or not the new Canaanites (????????????????????????????????????)

i can't completely disagree , the beginnings are though as shit , and no bullet also ennemies spawning behind you is lame . but on the other hand we can contemplate what the 2001 stalker could have been and this is a subject to debate some prefere the more thight and polished ( to a degree we are talking about stalker the game who , depending on his mood decide if he gonna run or not ) SoC and others the more messy but bigger lost alpha .

I mean if the stalker we were supposed to get involved deus ex style conspiracy theories with aliens, large amounts of back and forth, terrible voice acting and etc I would maybe much rather have the stalker we have now.

I like a lot of whats in lost alpha (cars, more areas, more monsters, guns and etc) but there's too much trash in the mix that was cut for a reason or poorly polished. Im not personally gonna excuse garbage just because it has the potential to be good. That said its a bigger fault with GCC that they never actually bothered to implement some of the cut content in their sub par sequels.

I thought they did exactly that? Reused lots of old assets in the following games? Especially unused maps and stuff like that. To be honest, I never even finished CoP, because at this time I had Stalker fatigue and haven't touched the games ever since.

ANy mod that aims to "fix the story" is usually pretty shit.

Yeah, if I want unprofessional writing I'd read fanfic (or play fallout 4)

I wish those sexy/ anime girls mods for NV would just fuck off and die. Why would someone's primary thought be to masturbate over the female characters when playing such a thought-provoking and emotionally engaging game?

IRC its more the editor who forced them to reshape the game

I dislike how mods that add new creatures usually just give the creatures a ton of health points to pass it off as a challenge. Having a unique AI behavior, attack patterns and specific weak points make enemies challenging and interesting, giving a mutant 1 million HP and making it charge towards you is not challenging, it's just tedious.
Luckily it's not hard to edit the values in the GECK so that you don't have to shoot a mutant in the head for 15 min just to get it to half its health points.
I don't have a problem with how the creatures look however (unless the model is really low quality), I don't care if it's a dreamed up creature, a model from some other game, a model made from multiple other models and so on, lore friendliness is not a priority.

Well, deeper AI behaviour is usually not the kind of mechanics that mods have an influence on.
Of course they don't, I meant in general there are better ways to make something more challenging, making an enemy take 200 shots in the head isn't one of those ways. Sometimes if you don't have many options just the creature variety is enough, no need to make them bullet sponges, such is life when you work with the limited tools you're given.

man I remember playing the enclave revival mod for FNV. it's good overall, but near the end u have to fight "Frank Horrigan" (a reskined behemoth) and he did TONS of damage, so I ran away, and worked on killing the soldiers on the catwalks, and, when looking for Frank again, I realized that he just died offscreen to one of my companions and it was so disappointing. Frank is suppose to be a challenge and constant threat, not a thing you can ignore and it will just go away.
