Shit, I said Delilah? Meant Willow.
Specially when the story was fine to begin with and didn't need any fixing except for some minor things.
i can't completely disagree , the beginnings are though as shit , and no bullet also ennemies spawning behind you is lame . but on the other hand we can contemplate what the 2001 stalker could have been and this is a subject to debate some prefere the more thight and polished ( to a degree we are talking about stalker the game who , depending on his mood decide if he gonna run or not ) SoC and others the more messy but bigger lost alpha .STALKER lost alpha is probably the worst mod I have ever played.
I also dont like mods that add to a game in positive ways but also have unnecessary more difficulty to an already difficult games

ANy mod that aims to "fix the story" is usually pretty shit.
IRC its more the editor who forced them to reshape the gameI mean if the stalker we were supposed to get involved deus ex style conspiracy theories with aliens, large amounts of back and forth, terrible voice acting and etc I would maybe much rather have the stalker we have now.
I like a lot of whats in lost alpha (cars, more areas, more monsters, guns and etc) but there's too much trash in the mix that was cut for a reason or poorly polished. Im not personally gonna excuse garbage just because it has the potential to be good. That said its a bigger fault with GCC that they never actually bothered to implement some of the cut content in their sub par sequels.
Of course they don't, I meant in general there are better ways to make something more challenging, making an enemy take 200 shots in the head isn't one of those ways. Sometimes if you don't have many options just the creature variety is enough, no need to make them bullet sponges, such is life when you work with the limited tools you're given.Well, deeper AI behaviour is usually not the kind of mechanics that mods have an influence on.
