Mods you should install

I think the main complain comes down to, no colurs for da wheel! I dun not know what to press to get to da shootzing of peeple!

Maybe people would feel better if there was some colour for it, that way you have no reason to follow anything, just chose the colour you like the most, Green, Red, Yellow and Blue.

Strange. When my friend plays Fallout 4, I can see that some options are greyed out, and I recall a few being dark‐yellow. Maybe he was playing with modifications? :-?

Yellow, orange and red are charisma checks. Greyed out options are the ones you've already used up. (mostly skill checks)

Gonna try this mod out next time I play:

Seeing as how the anti-materiel rifle was my favorite weapon in NV (and I get sort of a hard-on for powerful sniper rifles), I was very disappointed when I could finally outfit the hunting rifle with a .50 receiver. My current fix is using an Instigating Hunting Rifle, which doubles the damage if the enemy is at full health. But I'm not fond of the legendary prefixes, because they are (to put it lightly) fucking stupid.

Is there finally a mod that makes holstered weapons visible? Shitty writing and RP options, I can sorta deal with.

But I refuse to play until I stop pulling rifles and rocket launchers out of my ass. Nothing breaks my immersion faster than that.

Not related to mods, but to the Nexus site itself. Supposedly they had a database breach recently and are recommending people change their passwords:

More worrisome is this:
Things became more suspicious yesterday when three Fallout 4 mods from three separate authors had their files changed by the author's themselves, but the file change contained a .dll file that while it isn't being reported as a virus by our Virus Total system (that scans files using 56 different virus scanners), it is still highly suspicious, and the authors have reported it wasn't them who did it. Indications suggest these author accounts were compromised. Which, once again, isn't conclusive proof of a total database breach, but is rather damning.

I'd do a virus scan, too just in case. Shady .dll files being bundled with Fallout 4 mods doesn't sit well with me.

It's odd that they had holstered weapons in Fallout 3 and not in Fallout 4.

They removed skill checks for dialog and gave you a wheel. Why should they stop there with removing good features?

And, the visual mods start to come in! Some are really coming out great. Like the better Ghoul mod. And a couple more.

Those Ghouls, look now a lot more sexier than what Fallout 4 could ever deliver! Not to mention a lot more variation.

in no order I'm loving these...

  • Darker nights - Because apparently 1am isn't supposed to be when I can get a good tan.
  • Improved workshop lights - This should more accurately be better 'settlement' lights, coupled with the above looks great, and the lights actually light things up rather than being a vague blur of quasi-brigthness.
  • Better Item sorting - because: fuck the 'junk' and 'misc' tabs, that's why.
  • Extra Shipments - I found wanting to build anything more expansive than a bath-tub and corn field drains the wood that is naturally available in game faster than is reasonable, and yet all around there are dead fucking tree's this mod adds to the traders extra supply runs so allows greater expansion without directly resorting to more cheaty methods.
  • Quieter Settlements - "oh hey" BANG BANG BANG "I've got another task" WHIIIIIRRRRRRR "for you" BRRRRBRBRBRBRRRR ... sorry Preston did you say something? I cant freaking hear you above all this damn noise! Srs tho, this mod fixes this.

I've got my eye on several that 'could' make the game more challenging, such as permanent limb damage effect and other 'immersion' mods that quite frankly should have been part of the damn game at release no more legendary weps etc.
