Most Hated Fallout Character

I hate the Enclave in fallout 3, I really just hate fallout 3 in general, but the villains of the game are especially awful in particular President Eden.

Fallout 3 won a writing award...

No one has touched this one yet and I'm actually very surprised.
The pariah dog in Fallout...

That dog is by far the worst character in all the games, its basically a game over if that little fucker manages to get into your party. And if your unfortunate enough to get stuck with it, good luck trying to kill it.

That's the fun of it tho.

The Fallout character you cannot stand at all. You dread bumping into them if they're part of the main story or you avoid them altogether.

Without a doubt in my mind, it's First Citizen Joanne Lynette.

Fuck. This. Bitch.
I wish there was an ending to Fallout 2 where she gets kidnapped by raiders and they have their way with her. I can't think of any other Fallout character that deserves that as much as she does.

Oh my god, FUCK first citizen.

She's genuinely the only NPC which has made me consider destroying an entire town.

I couldn't kill it with weapons because they kept breaking so because I had a melee character I cornered him and beat him to death with my bare hands, by the end of it I was at half health with a broken leg.

Preston Garvey... Mostly because he is the embodiment of a design direction I hated to see which will most likely continue to plague future Bethesda games.

There are a number of other bad characters (most, written by the Bethesda team) which I find intolerable, but I could just ignore those or forget about their silly backstory or illogical actions. (in fact I already have forgotten about most of them and do not wish to revisit them, even if it is for a silly forum post :D)

Imagine a Fallout 4 in which settlements didn't need to be "saved", but instead discovered and interrogated by the PC. That alone would make the game from a shit show to possibly enjoyable for longer periods of time. This is the mechanic which replaced my single source of enjoyment in Bethesda games: exploration. TES games don't have much better stories than Fallout 3 and Fallout 4, but I could still enjoy my time in them because there were always new places to discover, I could make my own story simply by going in a direction in the open world and didn't have to lean on the work of the incompetent team of writers. In the case of Fallout 4, I already knew what I would stumble on before I set out to discover almost any location in the open world, to a big degree because of the focus on this cancerous mechanic which was brought by people who clearly have no idea how to make a good role playing game.

Preston Garvey is the one NPC I associate with this travesty and that's why I can say I HATE him as a character. I mostly feel indifferent about the rest of the NPCs, who might be equally poorly written.

Is including any of the Fallout 4 NPC really viable? I ask only because its basically unanimous that Fallout 4 is garbage with this crowd so reiterating its details kind of wins by default for worst NPC.

You can kill it. It just has 750 hit points.

As far as characters I absolutely despise?

Dermot and St James from New Vegas. Those guys deserved worse than what I did with them.

In regards to characters I just hate due to mere annoyance, Myron, First Citizen, Three Dog, Mayor Mcreedy, and Follows-Chalk.

And target it with 1 luck and Jinxed.
It tends to take a considerable amount with all those negative buffs affecting the character. I once sat there for hours pummeling the poor thing only doing 1 damage each time.

Once in a blue moon he provides a luck bonus actually, funny enough.

A toss up between Nick Valentine and Deacon, they are the attempt of a shitty writter at seeming witty, at least his other characters where just idiotic carboard cutouts...

Oh your talking about the negative luck glitch, when you build a character with only 1 luck and get debuffed to have -1 luck then acquire the dog. The negative result turns into a positive. Also tends to break the game.

I was thinking for a while, but no, I couldn't remember any character I really hate...they all have their positive traits...except for Pariah Dog, of course - I always try to avoid it at all costs!
