That's some pretty nifty stuff you've got there. Great work.

Is that your voice?

Nope, it's my cousin.

And thank you for the kind words.
The voice worked well in the trailer. I bet if you add some effects to it, it would sound much more refined. I'd say its a great narration(?) just needs some tweaks if you know what I mean. I mean Ron Perlman's probably had many different filters to make it sound powerful like it does. Of course Ron Perlman is fucking good at what he does and I love the movies hes in. But I'm sure you get what I mean.

my questions concerning tech:
which display resolutions will be supported?
something like 1024x768, or even higher?
or will your game support just one, like FO?

could you use some of the van buren data for you game?

have you planned different language versions in the future?

some questions concerning game play:
whats with the storyline? a linear or non-linear SL?
character creation? which system you gonna use, SPECIAL or your own?
"how much freedom" can we expect in choice making (dialogues), acting (like eliminating the whole NPC population of the game, or torturing or raping humans, brahmin, and chickens )?

Ok we really should put up some sort of FAQ page soon :)

800x600 is what it was designed for, but the engine supports any resolution above 800x600 that your videocard/monitor can handle. Of course, everything will look really small... but then again your monitor may be really big to compensate :)

No we can't use Van Buren graphics assets, I don't think. I could probably steal the UI but I don't know about the legal ramifications.

As for other issues... again, I don't feel comfortable going too much in-depth at this stage. I don't want this to be one of those projects where we claim to bring you digital Jesus himself on top of a frosting-covered cheesecake, turn water into wine, etc, and then end up falling short of expectations.

We should have some sort of a simple page soon and update it with more feature information as more of the game's framework ensuring the functionality of those features comes together.

you dont have mate, but you can just give us some clues, because this is in my opinion of prime importance in game design.

another good idea.

ps. i think most of us wont have any problems if your game is similar to FO (in a good way), so you shouldnt "brute force" difference between Shelter and FO. (thats my general thought).

I've already done that a few times... I assumed you may have seen that, and were asking for more specific info...another reason why we must make a simple FAQ page which has all information.

EDIT: Here it is. Last paragraph.

Another screenshot update. This is of course work in progress and does not represent the intended quality of the end product.

Wow those look really good! The graphic quality and design of the environment, characters, and the-thing-at-the-bottom-with-all-the-options. Also your conversations have a great supply of choices. Wow!

Thank you sir. This dialogue is not "hardcoded for show", by the way. We use a textfile system similar to the prototype outlined early in the thread.

I already saw that on your livejournal thingy, looking good so far.

That page was not actually supposed to be open to public.

Apparently it would've remained private if I didn't link to your site from it... Btw nice site.

I'm a very effective spy you know? :)

And thanks!

question, will the game run on its own or will it replace fallout tactics like most other fallout mods replace fallout 2?

but seriously, that looks amazing i cant wait to play it.
