New animations 2

I have to say that any animation/critter related improvements are even double-worthy. The community is just short on animators, especially the "new-critter-makers".

Keep the fuck on. :smug:

Well, couldn't help myself...

Haha, very cool! "I swear i won't kill you..." hilarious!!

As I'm not able of scripting, I just edited some BGE maps/texts (that are actually my second home for a change). I see I just motivated you in an epic way. :smug: (And enslave Josan! Now!)

So, how high are the chances for me to get these water tiles? :>

And yeah, the critter stuff just rocks.

If really not screened n' made public earlier, this is such a side-leak (that's moreover revealed only by the geeks). We've this water crap available since Christmas 2005. :postviper:

Yeah, I know them still from very old screenshots. But it's new now once again, so I thought I should ask too. :>

That's not my department :D

Then I will rip them out of the screenshots! :>

(This is what I would say, if I wouldn't be so lazy when it comes to tiles work.)

Water (junk in / at water) is animated too. So I just need to get the correct color for this. ;)

All I have to say is these are amazing , would love to see some(or all) of these in FOnline.

Hope that barber shop mod comes live, i wanna play with different hair styles :P

Heh, I'm guessing you don't mean it like this, but when you say "barber shop mod" it actually sounds pretty crappy and unfitting to the fallout setting. But anyway, i suppose if someone wants to add such a thing to their mod the best way would be to add some scisors or razor item that could trigger it or at most an npc character which can act as a barber (not by being a barber for profession in the game, mind you), that's just my opinion, anyway.

Also, those two critters are for npc's, they don't have all the animations required to be used by the player critter.

I love the mad max badass guy you have as your avatar, x'il. Is it new? Because the shoulders look modified. And will the critter have a naked ass like in the movie? :D

He definitely should have his ass bare! ;-)

Shit, i really have to find some time to continue my vsuit bald dude critter. It is really amazing how accurate and fast you are working x'il. How to hell you doing this master? I mean where you got all the patience? Cause I hate critter editing it is an annoying job.

Really, bro you are just really "smashing" and impress me.

Keep that wounderfull work, you are really an enrichment to the fallout modding community.

Eh, one thing more i wanted to ask you x'il. Which technicals you use to load the frames at once? I mean direct in one hole PSD File, that each frame is a layer. I do not know HOW you work on YOUR critters. But for my i need to do this cause the vsuit bald dude is based on an other critter set (leather armor). So i MUST work with more than one layer.

Hm, this question goes to all - who works with PS -, not only at x'il.

Cause i have a way to load the frameset at once in a PSD File. But this way destroy me the demensions of my frames. Vsjuit and leather armor sets are not alway same demensions so the program fits it self. (...and that takes me more work that it should).

When there is no such function in Photoshop, then maybe some one wold code a script, i do not think its a big deal. I would make it by myself, but i am not the best coder^^ and did not experiment/take a look at the syntax PS uses in his scripts.

Thanks for your time, and i hope this time my English is a little bit better ;)

Wolna

Sadly, that critter will not see the light of day; it looks different than my previous av. because i tried to begin it by making the spear set, but that only served to reveal how much incredibly time consuming it would be (too much parts for frame by frame editing, not worth it for just a single critter)... :(

Maybe i'll make a much simpler "efficient" version later.

Hehe, I don't really find it "annoying" mind you, just repetitive. That is, i don't mind doing repetitive work that yields cool results (it's like a rosary or mantra to me   )

Cause i have a way to load the frameset at once in a PSD File. But this way destroy me the demensions of my frames. Vsjuit and leather armor sets are not alway same demensions so the program fits it self. (...and that takes me more work that it should).

I played around a lot on PS using the stacking frames into layers function and i got that same issue; the frames are of different sizes, so PS stretches the "multi-layer" frame to the maximum individual frame size (or just cuts it if "auto-align" is on, but that's even worst cause a lot of times the critter "edges" get cut, so you got a critter with half a shoulder plate, or half a foot, etc, etc).

This, of course, brings you to the problem of having to re-build the proper frame size for each specific frame (by cutting the extra background), which is extra work, time consuming and tedious.

So i measured the different working times for the different editing methods and came up with this results: "multi-layer" (the above-described method) is only time-saving in comparisson with basic "copy/pasting" when more than 4 layers are involved, that is, the source layer and the three edited, resulting layers.

I made the Long Hair Dude death animations with "multi-layer", for example, working the jumpsuit, leather jacket and leather armor at the same time, and there was some time-saving (not much, though, marginal).

**So, for making the bald vsuit, since it is one edited, resulting layer only, you're actually making it the long, more time-consuming way, and i'd recomend using just basic "copy/pasting" for that one.**

A PS function that would prevent the altering of the frames original sizes while loading them into layers would be ideal and make the method time-worthy for working on less then 3 layers.
