New animations 2

The less of those police critters the better (maybe keep the sheriff guy using it for those who like them).

Sounds good to me - keep the sheriff and his deputy as is, and change the rest. But I'll leave it up to Killap to decide.

Should be totally optional. As much as I hate the police uniforms for their stickman-ness, I still like them more than yet another recolored combat armor. :>

Looking over the Mutant critter animations I noticed how small the burning and crispy death animations were, I think they might need to be rescaled to fit the actual size of the mutants. What do you think?

Much needed pix. Great idea.

You know, in my recent playthrough, i've noticed that so many critters offsets need work in the vanilla animations. There's alot of 'jumping' between animations due to the first and last frames not being identical. It would be a noble project! ;)

We have a 3d model based on it already (FOnline: 2238).

I just copy&pasted the dude into a screen from my Fallout 2 mod.

Looks great. Also working on my Own fonline since i'm moslty a coder. I didn't find 3D very interesting but looks like here is the only point of it. Faster critters creation.

Valkirie, your mockup model looks better in regards to size. The FONLINE 3D model looks somewhat thin.
Lexx, is that the final model?

It's the model we currently have. If it's the final or not depends on if the creator is going to do something more with it. But so far I'd call it the final model, yes.

I'm not sure why but it looks 'strange'... a bit too dark perhaps? or too high quality in relation to the background?

It's more detailed than original Fallout critters.

The standing pose / animation is like the original one.

Isn't the burning animation already enlarged?
I thought only the crispy corpse was human-sized?

That 100% crispy critter is the enlarged version, that'd why I think we should go 120%.

Wanna share it ? :p

FOnline: 2238 3d development repository can be found here. But keep in mind that even if it's freely available, all this material was created by some people who would like to be mentioned, if their material gets used somewhere.

Don't worry budy. I was not asking this for my project. So far I'm working on an old SDK revision which I tweaked and modified so much I just can't imagine how long it could take me to port to 3D release SDK.

Go for it. I can help you touch-up the flames/smoke if they appear blocky after resizing.

That's OK - I can finish this fairly quickly - thanks anyway.

EDIT: The scale is better, but not perfect. I've tested it in game and it works a treat. The files are here - 120% Mutant Deaths
