New Fallout 2 animations (sniper, wakizashi, etc)

Should the player use one or two hands when thrusting with the sword?

I definitely plan on adding these graphics (and the ones for Dogmeat) to the Megamod.
 
Anims look awesome, I guess we could talk to Timeslip about hacking enemy death types.
 
Are the animations available only to leather jacket FRMs? I hope not, but if so, its alright for me since it looks cool enough for the AC trade off.

No, they'll be for all armour types. I've got alot
of experience editing animation sequences for
different armour types! :)

BTW, anyone have a good idea for an idle
animation for the Wazshaki?

That's a cool idea. Would fit in nicely with all the other movie references.

simple motion easy to do in the
limted number of pixels.

In fact, I think that you can use the rifle idle animation, or at least a part of it, I don't have it in mind right now but as far as I can remember it will go well.
 
Sorry to gravedig, but Josan did bring this up in the NPC armor thread. It would work to make the wakizashi do laser damage, especially if armor laser resistances are lowered. Metal armor is pretty hard to cut through anyway. Also, increase the damage, maybe add the Penetrate perk. A combat knife is about six inches long. a wakizashi is about eighteen. That's going to do a lot more damage, not 1-2 points.

MIB88 said it can be done on a technical level. But it's alot of scripting work. Don't worry - i've been thinking about this and have a plan ... ;)

Well, so you are going to introduce new hero animations, right? What about introducing a diferent sprite for energy pistols, maybe based on the Pulse Pistol or on the Laser Pistol? I never liked that they used the same sprite of the normal guns, that was quite weird.

The mod in my signature, F2WR, fixes all of these things.
 
Ok, i'm back on track with this mod, starting
with the new sniper animations.

Leather Jacket - 100%
Leather Armour - 100%

I can imagen doing hero animations is allot of work.
Maybe it would be nice to add more difrent NPC so you won't have to do all weapons/armors. That would make FO2 less generic.

Don't get me wrong though, I love seeing new hero animations!
