New Vegas DLC, ending and interview

DLC is fine, I just hope they don't compromise the ending of the game with one. If it has a definitive ending then it should stay that way. The ending was shit the last time so it was alright.

I'm still amazed that Bethesda literally won awards for writing in Fallout 3. The writing was, IMO, the worst aspect of the game. None of it made any logical sense at all.

I think the way Obsidian is approaching this is much better. It sounds like they're putting a true Fallout-style end to the game. You know, the type of ending that Bethesda claimed they had, but didn't.

If all DLCs would be like General Knoxx for Borderlands or Overlord for Mass Effect 2 I'd buy every single one.

I know I'm in the minority, but I'm a bit disappointed to hear that there's a definite ending.

As far as DLC, that's not a surprising revelation. I do wonder what it's going to be like though. Mechanically, I doubt they'd patch out the ending again...

So, still no one knows who will develop the DLC, as in it could be Bethesda or Obsidian.

You just know it's gonna be "Broken Steel 2, level cap is now at 40, enjoy your grinding, unbalanced skills and paying to continue playing your game". Or even Mothership Zeta 2: Area 51 Action!

Beth would have to assemble a new team and learn the changes that OSI made to the engine. I think it would be easier to let OSI handle DLC.

I have a strong feeling that they both will.

Really..what changes? I don't think that will be a issue.

There's a difference between having a team that knows product and one that doesn't. First one works faster and requires no initial investment.

Really.. I though "overlord" sucked hard

Then it is taste, for me it brought some nice gear, dialogues and very intense scenes, the leveldesign was amazing in this one.

It brought absolutely no gear and while the level was interesting, it brought nothing to the overall story or game. There were a few nice moments in Overlord, but beyond that it was nothing more than a stand alone level.

If the DLC is at least half way decent, then I'll consider it. I can already tell Area 51 is going to show up in some shape or form.

No doubt. It's one of the biggest mysteries of our time I'd say.

Maybe I'm wrong but I thought there was a preview awhile back that said Area 51 is already in the game.

Sawyer confirmed a while back that area 51 is out of reach in the Mojave wasteland.
