Pats got TOs cryptonite - Shawn Springs.

edit:
TO needs a coach and QB that will tell him to shut the fuck up. Dick Jauron and Trent Edwards aren't the type to put him in his place.

What's the over/under on which week he breaks into hysterics?

I don't think so. In fact, I think the opposite. There's no helping TO. Instead, you have to drive him, keep him while he has something to prove (like in his first year) and then move on. One, two years tops, then drop.

That was so beyond what I thought it would be.
I never knew there were so many homoerotic football double entendres.
I'm suprised he didn't go for the Center/QB realtionship, anyone who's played the game knows that's the gayest thing in football. Think about what a QBs hands have to be doing on a silent snap like on sneaks.
That's probably why QBs have those towels.

There's no helping TO.
This is true.
Smart to ink him to 1yr deal, he'll need to prove something.
The market for him must really suck though if "superagent" scumbag Drew Rosenhaus only got him a 1 yr deal in probably the shittiest NFL city to play in.

Football is all about the homoerotic double entendres.

My favourite:
I'm a tight end, but I hope one day to be your wide receiver
How I long for you to hit me...in the slot

Bradyfan83 has done some great work :P

NEVER FORGET

Ohh you sir tickle a moment in time I had almost forgot! I remember sitting with the family watching. I must have been 5 or 6 then...

EDIT: Wait a tink the month is all wrong... I'm confused.

BN! SEATTLE TRADED JULIAN NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/jerrybrewer/2008860761_brewer15.html

...*wipes away tears* I know Seattle needs balance on the D but... not Julian, he was more than a player for Seattle, he was a heart. He would tease all the other players about his eating habits (bags of potato chips a day) and yet he was a chiseled god. I recall him getting confused, and taking about working to hard and contracting a gull bladder... or some other organ that was not an aliment...

I'll miss JP... *salutes as "goodbye horses" plays*.

On the brighter side. Detroit now has MO MO and JP from Seattle... I think they shall do some damage this year! ...Still, I'll miss them both... Sucks losing someone that has been a part of the team for so long.

Eh? The 1987 draft was April 28-29, no?

Eh? He was only with us 3 seasons, no? It may feel like longer. But yeah, dude was a beast, a solid linebacker and great when slotted in as defensive end.

It's a blow in talent, but after Hill's franchising and Tatupu's big contract, I couldn't imagine them putting the kind of money in another LB as the contract with Peterson expected of him. Kind of sucks for the dude to go to such a losing franchise, but at least he'll get paid.

Seattle's DT lineup and depth has surely improved fast, now. I'm going to be worried about pass coverage all of next year, considering we're still undersized at cornerback position, but expect Seattle to easily slot into a top-10 rush defense position.

The draft, ahh, I'm with you. I'm pretty sure 87 was their first playoff appearance. I'm interested to see how things play out, roughly 6 months to go!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Leonard Weaver was signed to the Eagles! I hate my 2009 life!

Edit: But justin forsett is still in... too bad he didn't do much of anything last season, asides from that one amazing game.

Ahaahahahaha Cutler is a bear now?!?!?! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Man, I never liked the Bears, but I like them even less now. Enjoy your whiny, immature QB, Bears.

Fuck Cutler.

Two 1st rounders, a 3rd and Kyle Orton for Cutler?

I thought Chicago's GM was high for not finding a legit QB over the last 5 years, but this was way too desperate.

Who the fuck do they think he's going to throw the ball to?

I wish Cutler went to NY. I love watching the NYC sports scene chew up and spit out petulant douchebags who can't handle the heat.

For Culter and a 5th, yeah

Most pundits seem to think the deal is...er..."not unreasonable". Seriously man, a young, groomed, talented pro bowl QB?

Oh yeah, how about how he almost won the division last year. Yeah, a division won by a .500 team with no thanks to Ed Hoculi.

That's what I think of when I imagine Cutler, that whiffed pass that Hoculi blew the call on. That's the most lasting, overriding image I have of him.

Right on. TO is great his first year in a new city. The second year he starts getting antsy and by the end of it he goes bonkers. If Buffalo is smart they'll let him walk after this contract, even though he'll probably put up good numbers. He's not getting any younger, in any case.

As for Cutler...too early to tell what the outcome will be. It doesn't surprise me the Bears were willing to sell the farm to get him, though. As an NFC North guy I can tell you the Chicago fans have been suffering ever since Jim McMahon left. Their QB has been a revolving fiasco for over 20 years.

After seeing McDaniels on TV I have to say he rubs me the wrong way. He's waaaay too cocky for a first time head coach.

He's really green. He was only Off. coordinator for two years. They fired Shanahan for him?

Let's see who he drafts with those two #1s, but I wouldn't wanna touch Orton as my starter. Big downgrade. They're going to miss Cutler big time.

Not resigning Weaver is puzzling to me. The way I see it, if you have a really good fullback, you keep him. They don't cost that much, they're always popular with the fans, they can be used in many different situations (emergency Tight End, for instance), and they're not that easy to find. Not every team has a fullback as good as Weaver, that's for sure.

They must really like Schmitt, eh?

They way he kept calling Cutler "The Player" was really annoying. You're not Bill Parcells, pal.

I like Orton - I'm in Big Ten land, and I can remember being impressed with him when he played for Purdue - but I wouldn't want to have to rely on him as a fulltime starter. He's one of those guys who has everything but the talent - a solid player you can be comfortable with as your backup. Think Charlie Batch with the Steelers.

Which is why the Bears made the trade...
