NFL - week 13 seems like as good a week as any

I'll have to admit Eli Manning is not who I thought he was.

*But* this gloating about the Pats loss is some of the most childish shit I've ever seen.

You and I were this close, THIS fucking close to having seen history in the making, to having watched a season that'll go down as the greatest of all time. But now? Now it's just another shit season, won by a non-name QB leading a team that is - historically speaking - not special. Yawn.

I don't like the Pats - I hate the Giants, though - but it still makes me sad to miss out on history in the making like that.

As a New Yorker, I am most happy to see the Giants outplay and out perform the seriously favored Patriots.

Well hazzah, for those that didn't make it to the super bash, we get to see many of our favorites play this week. I'm looking forward to the NFC defensive Hawk line!

wait....how is that NOT funny? they are simultaneously making fun of the Patriots, the Patriots fans, and the Patriots detractors? isn't that what good comedy is all about?

Hey! I hear the 'Bond gets shot' sound from Goldeneye in that commercial! Awesome. Don't think I picked that up when I saw that on the tube.

In other news: Tuna, you better know what you're doing. Releasing one of the best players on an already-dwindling defense is a make-or-break type of thing during a rebuild period.

Best.Nike.Commercial.Evar.

Those commercials are pretty cool, but both Merriman, and Jackson had pretty crappy years. Maybe that ad jinxed them.

Nology: you should've been able to see the Thomas shedding coming from miles away. It's a sensible move, you can't take a half-arsed attitude towards re-building. Channing Crowder will do fine, I s'pose.

el_Prez: That'd be because Merriman ran out of steroids and Jackson played on a crappy team, tho'

I'm just worried that it might have been too early for Channing. I mean, he's an accomplished linebacker in his own right, but Zach was too, you know? He may be getting old, but as far as I saw, he wasn't getting slower. But, this will be for the good of the team, and no more under .250 win percentage seasons, I hope. Now, they just need some damn secondary. And an offensive line.

Miami would've looked different with Thomas in the line-up, but it's hard to restructure and keep a key of the last era like Zach in.

I love the dude, even at his age still one of the best linebackers in the league, but restructuring is restructuring. You gotta take some risks.

And I think Channing will do fine. Secondary is the biggest problem. Miami's O-line is underrated, if you ask me, but yeah it could do with a bit of an upgrade.

Not that anyone but BN cares but, THE SEAHWAKS TRADED JOSH BROWN!!! What the FRACK! He said he was worth more than what they were paying him... He is the best kicker in the league of COURSE he deserves more... *sigh* Ol' Sean Alexander is still around... gobbling up all that money they could be using for someone else... LIKE JOSH BROWN! That guy that single handedly took out David Hester and many others when no one else could? Josh Brown, that guy that won more games than I can count (literally won)!

...Sigh, its been a bleak couple of weeks in the Pacific NW...

They franchised him two years in a row, didn't they?

He's gotta go some time, man. Especially in an off-season like this one, where quality purchases are far and in between, people aren't going to let no Josh Brown slip.

The Shaun thing can't be helped. Sure, there were some people saying "he's pushing 30, man", but nobody objected much to him getting a richer contract. Maybe too rich. Hindsight is 40/40

At least we got T.J. Duckett now.

T.J. Duckett.
