NFL - week 13 seems like as good a week as any

Yeah, he's aconverted FB. I saw some runs where he'd just drop his shoulder and RUN OVER linebackers, seeing a QB do that is magic.

The sad part is he probably won't win the heisman because he's only a sophomore.

Well you know how flawed the NCAA Heisman considerations are sometimes, but he is a standout QB so he will (goin out on a limb) probably get one.

Also, I think it would be very amusing for Tebow to come out of his draft class as an Atlanta Falcon No.1 draft pick in two years, assuming he applies as junior.

The defense was admirable, but damn, watch that Romo dance.

And yeah, Rodgers got game. Which is good to know for when Favre retires in 2025.

Tough game.

Not if Favre doesn't retire next year, and who knows if he will. Rodgers may be more patient than most 1st round picks, but let's be honest here, being Favre's back-up sucks. Just ask Hasselbeck.

Frack yeah, I was impressed with Roger's performance. Disappointed that the Packers lost.

I fear this Sunday... Seahawks at Eagles... It's going to be either a great one, or a Seawho? game.

i could see him looking at this as "getting paid to intern under one of history's greatest players" and i see nothing wrong with that.

will he wait another year if Favre stays? maybe, maybe not.

From what I've read, probably not.

Look, a first-round pick is a first-round pick and I've never seen one that hasn't had ego problems. Just wait for Brady Quinn to start whining sometimes soon. And remember Cedric Benson insisting on the removal of Thomas Jones because he could be the guy (as if).

The NFL is hardly a sport known for the classy nature of the people that play it, and those personalities are misshaped in college.

Is Rodgers an exception? Maybe, a bit, I mean he's been more patient than most would have been. But it's not infinite, and you shouldn't forget that right now there are about half a-dozen big-money teams starving at the QB position who would do anything to get him (Atlanta and Chicago, for instance). If Favre doesn't retire, look for both outside teams and Rodgers himself to crowbar his way out of the organisation.

Let's not pretend it's more romantic than it is, shall we. The Pack may be the classiest team in the NFL, but that doesn't say anything about its players by definition.

The problem is that the Hawks are too one-dimensional right now, Hasselbeck is too erratic from the shotgun and the Eagles pass defence is simply too good. It has been all season, and it put that on display last Sunday.

Still, the Eagles have been up-and-down all season. If they can't find an emotional centre before the game looks for a Hawks walkover. If the Eagles come out sharp, it'll be a tougher battle.

My head tells me game Eagles, my heart tells me game Hawks. I'm picking Hawks, as my heart tends to outsmart my head (like in predicting the Vikings-Bears "upset", or the same for Vikings-NYG and Jags-Titans)

I think most football players would rather play for America's Team than for the Pack, sorry.

Besides, most players go where either the money or Superbowl chances are (see Randy Moss to Oakland for the money, then to NE for Superbowl chances/his "legacy"). The Pack, despite its good chances this year, really doesn't offer either much (well, I guess as an organisation it's in the Superblow race as much as anyone that's not the Pats in these days of parity uber alles).

*sighs*

Why is it so hard for the media and fans to ignore T.O.? That's the only way to beat him at his childish games, y'know, just don't pay any attention to him.

But you lot are just completely incapable of that. It's like he's got the sporting media hypnotized for years. They're almost disappointed he and Moss have been so well-behaved this year.

I wasn't talking to you. Paladin Solo brought him into this thread for no reason, not you.

T.O. is a talent, a star and a receiver for the ages, currently having only Marvin Harrison and Randy Moss outshining him. He's a great athlete. And a big baby. I just ignore his being a big baby, chuckle when he grabs a camera and gets a 15-yard penalty and marvel at his feats.

This unhealthy obsession the media has with him has got to stop, though.

Woah, when did I say I adored him? I barely knew the guy existed until the stupid deodorant commercials.

You were watching the Cowboys-Packers game right?
