i could see him looking at this as "getting paid to intern under one of history's greatest players" and i see nothing wrong with that.
will he wait another year if Favre stays? maybe, maybe not.
From what I've read, probably not.
Look, a first-round pick is a first-round pick and I've never seen one that hasn't had ego problems. Just wait for Brady Quinn to start whining sometimes soon. And remember Cedric Benson insisting on the removal of Thomas Jones because he could be
the guy (as if).
The NFL is hardly a sport known for the classy nature of the people that play it, and those personalities are misshaped in college.
Is Rodgers an exception? Maybe, a bit, I mean he's been more patient than most would have been. But it's not infinite, and you shouldn't forget that right now there are about half a-dozen big-money teams starving at the QB position who would do anything to get him (Atlanta and Chicago, for instance). If Favre doesn't retire, look for both outside teams and Rodgers himself to crowbar his way out of the organisation.
Let's not pretend it's more romantic than it is, shall we. The Pack may be the classiest team in the NFL, but that doesn't say anything about its players by definition.

Seahawks at Eagles... It's going to be either a great one, or a Seawho? game.
The problem is that the Hawks are too one-dimensional right now, Hasselbeck is too erratic from the shotgun and the Eagles pass defence is simply too good. It has been all season, and it put that on display last Sunday.
Still, the Eagles have been up-and-down all season. If they can't find an emotional centre before the game looks for a Hawks walkover. If the Eagles come out sharp, it'll be a tougher battle.
My head tells me game Eagles, my heart tells me game Hawks. I'm picking Hawks, as my heart tends to outsmart my head (like in predicting the Vikings-Bears "upset", or the same for Vikings-NYG and Jags-Titans)
