NMA Fantasy Football

My players are pulling out a late-game rally, luckily. Though I'm up on top again.

Every single week I get these tense close games, it's ridiculous.

Nothing can ruin my football weekend now that the Bucs won, though.

EDIT: I'm slightly convinced that FCR decided to come out of retirement and not play his byes just to spite me, as he's back to playing Byes against DammitBoy again.

EDIT2:

8-1, still top of the league and point leader. But holy shit that was a tense game. Mendenhall almost fumbling the ball, getting a booth review to hold it up as not-a-fumble when the Steelers were already up two scores with 1:35 left in the game nearly gave me a heart-attack. Had that been a fumble, I'd have lost that game.

You haven't won yet. Point fairies still need their say. Though they usually shift less in IDP-less leagues.

No it isn't. With me kicking everyone's ass, you don't need a good record to get into the playoffs. Right now 2 6-4s and 1 5-5 would be going to the playoffs. You're at 4-5, and could be at 5-5 after tonight's game if Flacco has a good day. Should be very doable.

Like cutting Brandon Marshall?
Forgot to thank you for that.
yes.

like that.

i really, really didn't see good things happening for him this year. i didn't see him getting his shit together.

Well, Orton's out and Denver is hitting the brutal part of their schedule. WRs are only as good as their QBs can be at getting it to them, and Chris Sims doesn't inspire a lot of confidence.

He gave me B-Marsh at another league. Been quite useful.

Eh...QB still has to complete passes. I mean Megatron was good last year. Obviously there's a drop in production, maybe Sims'll click with Royal over B-Marsh. So it's worrying, but not an automatic death sentence.

Moot point for me, I'm a lost cause this year.
Turner's hurt. The giants give Jacobs the ball like he's allergic to the end-zone. Painful year.

Hopefully I can drag a few of you fuckers down with me though before the end.

My NMA team is falling off a cliff, but my money-league team is doing okay. I've been super unlucky in that every team I play has their best week of the season against me, but we have a very effective playoff system with four division winners and two wildcard slots based solely on points. I've scored lots of points.

I was busy until very early in the morning Sunday and when I went to bed I didn't wake up until ten minutes before kickoff, which is why that crappy DeAngelo Williams not playing screwed up Chewbacca's Butt Plug. But I'm not complaining. :)

I think they should make a rule that says you can swap a player who didn't even dress for the game for players who have yet to paly even after their game.

I got screwed similar Universal last week cause of Kurt Warner and this week with the New Orleans kicker. It seems silly to be punished for that one.

Why? I saw that news hours before the game started. You don't pay attention to the news, you're out of luck.

Those rules mostly work by forcing people to make choices on game-time decisions. You can't just play, say, a thursday night questionable player and then not get punished when he turns out to not play.

Though I agree losing the kicker was a bitch for you.

Also, I clinched the #1 spot last week. Who will be getting the other 3 playoff spots? There are 5 teams in the running for those spots.

I'd have a bone to pick with the fact that if a player goes down in-game, they can't be replaced at all. It's not like if Warner leaves in the 1st QTR the Cards keep playing without a QB. Yet if he's your FF QB you're screwed.
That's really, couterintuitively fucking stupid.

Also, let's close the book on autodraft.
It sucks.

What? How is that counterintuitive? Injuries are part of the game and part of the risk/reward decisions you make. When you start someone like Warner, you always know there's the risk he'll go down. That's the risk you take and that's something you have to take into account, there's nothing counterintuitive about that. It'd be counterintuitive to automatically replace Warner once he goes out. After all, you're not playing positions on an NFL team, you're playing players.

I love it. :smug:
But I thought we'd already agreed to go live draft next year.
