NMA S.T.A.L.K.E.R. review

I kept getting a "Fallout" inspired vibe while playing the game along with "Glory of the CCCP!". :P

It's like, here's some power armor - and here's an AK47, because no one that wears power armor defies the absolute beauty of Russian firearms.

I don't think the game will be forgotten in 3 months, it's a great game and it has one of best atmospheres i've ever seen in a game, a point that's very important for me... when i play i feel inside the gameworld!

But, yay for a Wasteland Review! :)

The problem in this case is that the result would be a foregone conclusion, aside from describing the game I'd just be listing the ways in which I think it's great. Still, if it'd make more people pick it up that never played it before, it'd be worth it. (Or we could do a tandem review, but that is maybe a bit freakish.)

But what about official NMA Fallout and Fallout 2 reviews, then?

Something got stuck in the pipeline, I think.

I like Stalker.... but it's a little bit too much Ego-Shooter. :/

I'll be playing as soon as I upgrade my ancient equipment.

And thumbs up on the game reviews!
You often mention interesting projects in development, but then we never find out how well they really turned out (e.g. The Fall – The Last Day of Gaia)

Anyways, here's a question for all of you guys: how do you feel about NMA doing reviews of games that are somewhat in our sphere of interest like this? Should we do more? Not do any at all?
swimming in dangerous water there, i think. if advertised as 'NMA' reviews, they might catch flak & reflect badly on the website...

Actually, with The Fall, an English version still hasn't been released. It is safe to say that whatever plans for releasing it have fallen through, and if it will ever be released is in question.

I dare say our S.T.A.L.K.E.R. review has been a success, and we might try more reviews in the future as a result.

Has anyone done a graphical update for Wasteland?
I'd quite like to play it, but the graphics always put me off (I love Fallout's isometric graphics, but I really am not keen on anything much worse than that, sadly).

It'd be cool to see a cross-platform version of it, like OpenWasteland or whatever.

Ego-shooter?

the gauss rifle from STALKER resembles Fallout2's gauss rifle 99%!
I think the Fallout madness really struk harder in eastern Europe! :)
