Norwegian Massacre

AFAIK he was doing his duty for "his" people too. Cleaning the nation, all for his country. THus - that's not really an argument here.

His posts on an online page is the usuall rightwing extremist gibberish.
"The norwegian socialist government has betrayed us by letting muslims settle in this country" ect ect ect

Some very vocal norwegians do not want non western imigrants. For lots of reasons from "ey tk u juuubs" to cultural ones. And they allways use the same rethoric. "sooner or later the people will no longer stand for this..and damned be the leftwingers then" ect ect. The socialist government is blamed for everything. Similar to how most american presidents are blamed for bad situations that is often not their fault.

Most of the vocal retards are tough on the internett only and never dare be vocal in public.

This guy seem to have started believing his own bullshit.

Well - I guess watching Caprica (religious terrorist bombing + regligious mambo jambo), Dexter ('nuff said) and Shield (wut) paid off in this venture :?

EDIT: gotta love the w-u-t filter on this forum 8-)

What i do and have actually done in reality, is start throwing punches.

But maybe that's just me, because i was brought up in a household where patriotism and civil responsibility were prioritized.

Well aren't you a bloody hero then. Because said patriotism and civil responsibility tells you to run up to a guy with a shotgun, I presume? For what we know, people tried to stop him and he just gunned them down (being mostly liberals and pro gun control in a liberal political rally, it's certain they didn't have weapons on their person either). If they held a convention here, it also means the terrain was mostly flat, no amounts of cover except bushes and trees, and try to escape an island in the cold Norwegian waters if the road is cut off.

Add the bomb in Oslo which certainly served as a very good distraction, and you have a part of the reason why the death toll is so high. Calling these people cowards is simply disrespectful and wrong, this is a fucking tragedy and nobody here (or even there) knows exactly what happened. Hell, they have stated they will still hold their convention in the same spot once the island is cleaned up to prove terror attacks won't work, that takes some amounts of balls.

To say, "Why didn't somebody try to stop him?" is idiotic when you don't know whether somebody actually tried or if it was even physically possible. It was a heavily armed lunatic, not some homeless guy swinging a golf club around in a Wal-mart.

What do you do when they tell you to fuck off, and continue beating the man? If you shoot them, you're going to get sued by the ghetto scumbag's family, and will be looking at prison time..

It rather looks like thoughtlessness or being naive was a priority in your household. Charging at a trained gunsmen with a fucking military rifle in the wide open without covers sure sounds like a good idea.

Sheesh what a jerk. It's stuff like this that makes me wonder why Allah (pbuh) created Man.

What a fucking shame.

Though fucking LAFFO at "military rifle".

also can we shut up about what you would've done or why didn't they do this or whatever? It's not a rational thought to charge a man with a gun who is actively shooting people. That's the opposite of rational. The rational thought would be to get the ever-loving-fuck out of there.

A bird's-eye view of the island in question.

The infrastructure in that area doesn't seem to allow for superfast law-enforcement action either - the shoreline's also anything but easy access.

If the situation had been "ideal" (ridiculous to surmise, I know) then the easiest way would have been to land a chopper on one of those small fields you can see on the island - but if the dude is sporting good weaponry, that might prove to be a bad choice of action. Next is boats - not so fast and allows for the shooter to take pot-shots at the cops from a better position in the woods.

Whatever that guys motives were - he seems to have thought that thing through very thoroughly - assuming he was alone in this. Wishful thinking perhaps, but I'd hate to think there's an organization that's going to make a habit of this in the region.

I thought the bombing was just to get the people on the island to crowd together. It was said that he had called everyone to him to talk about the bombing - and he was dressed like a police man. That doesn't sound random, I am pretty sure that has been the plan.

I'm not surprised at all by the total lack of acknowledgment the White House is giving this. 80 fucking kids gunned down and one Oklahoma City style bombing, and I don't recall a single person except John Bolton commenting on it.

I think no one who has not beein in such a situation once has the right to call those people "cowards". Not that I want to say this was his intention. I mean in general

What I wanted to say with my statement was that everybody is entitled to their own opinion, while also - having announced said opinion - should be able to face any criticism it might draw.

A rather uninteresting movie of his, but I do find his ability to compartmentalize everything rather...percolating.

Ignoring the fact that you are wrong, why the hell would that even matter?

Last I checked, a few hours ago, there was a massive fucking thread on Something Awful full of information about the character. Also lots of fairly horrific images, especially of the island.

Spoiler for horrific thing
[spoiler:57a509d208]From what I heard, dude was dressed as a cop, had everyone gather together shortly after bomb went off to 'keep everyone calm' or some horseshit like that, and then unloaded on everyone. [/spoiler:57a509d208].

he also wrote a fifteen hundred page 'book' that's a mixture of "here is how fucking crazy i am", and about three hundred pages of it was "how to be a terrorist".
