Speaking of the Spider-Man cartoon. In the German translation they havn't been allowd to use the word "blood". Because it was a kids show and all that - talk about political correctness ... - so each time something had to do with blood they used the word plasma. No clue if that was also true for the english version. Which was quite confusing for me as a dumb kid. Why the fuck does this vampire mutant Morbious need plasma for? Don't they suck blood!!!!

yeah it was always plasma. Spider-Man was the last cartoon at the time to toe that line pretty hard. X-Men had one of them die in the first episode and Batman was killing off people every week. Hell even Darkwing Duck wasn't afraid to kill people.
