Old World Blues

You need to use several :P to show you're joking Walp, this is the internet after all. :P :P :P ... :V

The hazmat suit could really do with a way of turning of the nightvision. Also the helmet tends to clip when wearing something else due to the rags on the neck. Does look pretty beast on desert ranger armour though.

Also I was trying to go for the Insano look WTNR, shame the goggles cuts your hair off.

Hazmat Suit
and
Hazmat Darklight Cowl (couldn't remember the name before) and it has a DT of 2, not 3 like I posted before.

It is kinda a shame about the nightvision... can't take a decent pic!
But in gameplay situations, you could always just unequip the cowl.

I am waiting until the Guys at Project Nevada make a Old Wolrd Blues compatibility Patch, they surely will include an off switch to the helmet.
As for the googles, well I could always use Biker Googles to get the Insano look.

So, i entered the owb crater and want some spoilers, what is the bonus thing you get if you complete the quest quickly? I like exploring, but could that be done after the main quest thing is done?

edit: is it wise to take a ton of ammo with you when first entering?

Yes, unless you're using a .44 or .357 weapon, since ammo for those seems to be everywhere.

There is no reward for finishing the main quest quickly. Take your time and explore EVERY location. The best weapons and items come from unneccessary exploration.

[spoiler:cb1dd634ec]the best weapon is the hardest to find. Its called Elijah's Jury-Rigged Tesla Cannon. The location is tricky to get to, and the map marker only shows on your on-screen radar when standing in certain spots, like near the door to X-42. And the un-found map location marker will actually disappear when you get closer to the location. [/spoiler:cb1dd634ec]

One of the ending slides changes based on how many areas you have discovered. This is all.[/spoiler:251d1f66e3]

If you're a Guns user, be sure to stockpile armor piercing ammo. A lot of the enemies in OWB can absorb crazy amounts of damage, especially on high difficulties.

There's a reason .357 and .44 are everywhere, though.

[spoiler:17f5b20793]One of the new guns shoots it minigun style. It can be upgraded to shoot .44 instead. It's the dog gun.[/spoiler:17f5b20793]

[spoiler:0801ed76ba]I found it odd that almost every single one of those Big MT crates had the exact same number of .357 and .44 ammo in them, and usually nothing else. [/spoiler:0801ed76ba]

How are the new gloves as weapons? good alternatives to Disruptor gloves and Power fists?
Saturnite Fist is amazing. Then you heat it, and everything is purged when you punch it. Scientist Gloves are too niche to use.

The gloves are decent, but not as good as the super-heated saturnite fist. The corrosive glove does pretty much turn you into an easier to hit cazador though.

Hm, how do i get more "recipes - medicine skill book", i could only make one skill book.. i have the other stuff you need..

edit: and the varios force fields, how do you disable them? Is that was the sonic emitter is for?

You can only make one of each skill book, in order to prevent people from maxing out their skills.

The forcefields are disabled by the sonic emitter once it's upgraded at X-8, it's mentioned fairly often on the computer terminals.

Finished it now. In short: Was sceptical first, changed later, ending was great.

It's true that OWB is very LOL!! but it is also pretty dark, imo. Stuff like the concentration camp or the suits with dead bodies inside, etc. aren't that easy stuff. Also I found it nice that even the way the story is made up (50s pulp Science!) is kind of explained in the end why it is how it is.

I really like that DLC, needed around 8 to 9 hours to finish it and I haven't explored everything yet. (Still like Honest Hearts the most, though. Simply because of the more serious tone and the atmosphere of Zion. It just totally hit the nail for me.)

Now I am really tensed to see Lonesome Road. The expectations are very high. Hope it can deliver.

Currently seeing what armour the hazamat suit helmet fits with. If only they hadn't added the rags at the bottom it would work so much better.
Does look good with the black combat armour though...

If I still had my version of 3ds Max on my computer I would take a bash at fixing it but sadly tis lost in the depths of time and a dead hard drive.

Finished it today. Great fun (slightly diminished by the italian dub :() and extremely well done, but to me OWB is in a way the weakest of the DLCs so far. Exploring the place is great! ...the first time. It suffers the same flaw FO3 had: it's all about exploration and combat. Once you have seen it all there's no need to re-explore it. :\

My favourite DLC is still DM because you can play it differently. You want to fight? Please, do. You want to sneak around? Its design allows for that too (even though it's a bit difficult the first time). You are a diplomat? There are a lot of dialogues and you can let your allies do the dirty work.

Very, very good, nonetheless but the next time I'll replay it I know I'll go through it very quickly.
