Yes, the thread containing the location/weapon/ammo/skill lists is here: http://www.nma-fallout.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=34173

Lereux does want to call this in, but contacting Warren AFB may be tricky at the moment. The comm gear is being dismantled for transport, and it'll be over half an hour before it's hooked up again. Malanowski's radio hasn't been working, but if he gets pulled off of his current duties to try to fix it, that would greatly slow down the process of moving the comm gear unless someone takes his place.

Time may be moving slowly here, but you do need to plan for the long term. Otherwise, you may be caught unprepared when disaster strikes.

I'm hoping to update again on Friday, or possibly even tonight if Fearlessfred posts soon enough.

I'm able to post for SA tonight. I did my reading-up, and am caught up on ZA; however, I'm incapable of taking my cheracters back. I'm ghosting tomarrow; reappearing wednesday afternoon, but ghosting again later that night. needless to say, I'm tired, but- I would like to post SOMETHING tonight.

Don't forget to use the link I posted above to keep track of your ammo. It might be a good idea to reload your weapons while you can if you don't have a full magazine loaded, if you haven't already.

@Stompie:
That's okay, take your time. I hope to update SA this weekend sometime.

@Steve
McCain could kick down a door if he does enough damage to it. His kicks do 1d6+1d4, and the room doors have 10 HP. The problem is that this would defeat the purpose. Once the door is kicked down, it can no longer be closed or locked. Zombies that got to the balcony could get into the room, and Phillips could get out if he turned into a zombie. It would much easier to just go get the keys or send someone for them. Once Ortega comes to his senses, he could bring the keys up to the balcony.

Mr. Handy,
I never have served in the army so can you or welsh give me some ideas for the interlocking field of fire to help me give orders?
Also if Leurux does not stop contermanding my orders he is going to get fragged! I think that the squad would give me a reward for that!

I've never served in the military either, but I know from playing games some things that could help you. Roll Military Science for McCain, and if you succeed I'll give you some advice. McCain can also ask the people under his command for suggestions, and Ramirez can ask the people at the T-Bone as well.

McCain shoots Lereux, Cole shoots McCain and then the entire squad throws a party and a celebration BBQ?

Okay,
Look I am playing a character. McCain does not like Lerux. Yes I am being an ass in thread but that is my character. Why in the heck do you have to mock me on this thread!

i'm not mocking you? Cole simply doesn't like McCain? (and as you're playing him lately it would be hard to believe any of the grunts like him much either?)

it aint personal, dude

Here are what McCain, Black, and Ramirez can gather from their Idea rolls:

The defenders of the motel can keep watch on and fire at targets in the field to the west, but people at the T-Bone cannot because the motel obstructs their view. Likewise, the T-Bone defenders are better suited to firing at targets coming from the east, though the snipers on the motel roof can spot and shoot some targets coming from the east until they get fairly close. The motel is two stories high, and the T-Bone is only one story high. Basically, once something coming from the east gets within about 200 yards of the diner, it is invisible from the motel roof. Those on the balcony cannot cover the area east of the T-Bone.

Since most of the cities and towns are along I-80, almost all of the zombies will come from either the east or the west. There should be few from the north and nothing from the south, though those at both the T-Bone and the motel can see clearly in both directions.

The T-Bone has two positions on the roof for the defenders to use. One is the eastern edge of the diner, and the other is the roof of the garage. The garage is much more stable and can hold more people, but the diner blocks line of sight to the area immediately to the east of it (within about 40-50 yards).

I plan to make the next update on Thursday night, and then another one this coming weekend. We're also getting a new player soon, once he catches up on the story. I'll let him post and introduce himself here when he's ready to.

Mr. Handy,
thanks for the idea update. I will post it up sometime tommow before Thursday night. Right now I am waiting for Welsh to answer a quick question for me via PM. So hopefully it will be soon

Steve, I think you misread the dialogue in the garage. It was David who made the handcuff remark, not Mitchell (who doesn't even have a truck). You might want to edit your last IC post.

Also, if you want Jim Kerr to try to convince anyone to come with him to the office, roll Fast Talk for each NPC you're trying to convince. This will not work on Gary in this instance, since he's determined to find the generator. It can work on Max (as in "Here, boy! Follow me!").

Bob's pretty far from Jim right now, so he should roll Listen at half skill to see if he hears. Ramirez and anyone else in the warehouse can do the same. Odd numbers round down in this case. Since Ramirez has 49% Listen, he must get 24.5% or less. Since you can only roll a whole number, this means 24 or less. Characters in the reception area will roll at full skill and can pass the message along upstairs.

Mr. Handy,
I edited my post. Took out the insults from Alice to Mitchell. I used Fast Talk on the group with Jim. I think I convinced Randall and Max to come with me. That being so I erased him calling for Bob so that does not need to be rolled for anymore.

What Pm? I didn't get a pm....

Does Erica "know" the cities are overrun?

I assume she's familliar with all the potential refueling stops along the I-80 corridor, as that's her turf. Likely, the NSP has accounts with them and she would be able to refuel on credit, at least for the mean time.

Does she have an idea of where a safe place to refuel would be between Brownson and Omaha? Preferably the NSP Air Wing pad at Kearny. But really any airfield that she recalls as being well-run and organised, and with a defensible layout.

Failing that, does she have any idea where she might be able to hole up in relative safety until the situation has stabilised? Like, some isolated park, campground, or cabin? As they travel, she will scan likely buildings as they go by, looking for any that are multi-story, occupied and defensible.

I noticed that McCain has a LAW rocket. Does that mean he simply only has the rocket or does he have the weapon that can shoot off the rocket?

He has 1 round (rocket plus tube). A LAW rocket is a 1-shot disposable launcher. Once the rocket is fired, the empty fibreglass tube is thrown away because it cannot be reloaded. Check for backblast! (Don't fire it indoors.)

One question I have is what kind of ".308 sniper rifle" did Luke lend her? If is fed by a detachable box magazines then it's not a bolt-action rifle (which have internal magazines). These load a single round at a time through the top.

If Luke has a bit of money to throw around, then it could be a classic "survivalist" weapon like the semi-automatic HK91 (use the stats for the FN FAL with ROF of 1) with a 5-round detachable box magazine and telescopic sights, as below. If he had a shitload of money (like, $10,000 plus to blow on a rifle) then he might have an HK PSG-1 or HK MSG-90. Other contenders might be the M14A1 or FN FAL.

Would she also have a pair of high-powered binoculars in the helo?

Erica does know that the cities are in chaos, as she's been listening to radio reports all morning and knows much of the situation across Nebraska. She also knows anything the characters have told her over the radio or since her arrival at the T-Bone. There are still pockets of survivors in the cities (such as Omaha), but they are surrounded and under siege. Her passengers also have a lot of information about what's going on. Her best bet is to land someplace that is as isolated as possible while also certain to have fuel.

I posted the links to Nebraska airfields in the rules and guidelines thread, which Welsh had given me last year when I was trying to decide on a place to refuel. You can look through that list to see if you can find something between the T-Bone and Omaha that would be suitable. Erica would have all of the knowledge listed there.

Erica is from the Chadron area, and her family has a farm nearby. It would likely be self-sufficient in terms of water and food.

Those characters with LAW rockets have the launchers too, of course. They wouldn't be much use without them. They are each one-shot weapons, so once the rocket is fired the launcher is generally thrown away. The base skill is 15%, and nobody has Rocket Launcher skill on their character sheets. The base skill can be doubled as with Grenade Launcher skill when firing at the ground near the target, which would take you up to 30%. They have a base range of 150 yards (300 with precision aim) and do 8d6 damage within one yard. For each yard out, the damage is one die less (so 7d6 within two yards, etc.). They malfunction on a 98 or higher.

Here are the details on Luke's rifle, from SuAside's original character sheet post:

Yes, I'd say Erica would have high-powered binoculars.

Thanks for the information, I had a look. While Erica has probably visited most of these fields or at least flown over them. I have not, so I can't really make that call. Does she have a clue as to which specifically would be the best bet given the above criteria (well-organised, defensible around the halfway point)? If she does not have a clue, then for now she'll make for the NSP pad at Kearney Municipal Airport for refueling.

She makes her unmodified Idea roll:

I will keep that in mind. Chadron is only about 140 miles due North of the T-Bone/Motel 9, but about 430 miles from Omaha. She has no particular desire to return to that death trap and once discharging her passengers, might just head straight there from Omaha. It's also out of the fallout path from Warren...

Looks nice. The box magazine for that weapon looks like it's internal, not detachable. For reloading, the bolt is pulled back, and the rounds pushed into the top of the magazine by thumb. So instead of having 41 full and 2 partially-empty magazines, she would have 2x boxes of 100 rounds plus 10 loose rounds in her pockets. The rifle is behind the pilot's seat (which in helos is located on the right).

Yes, I'd say Erica would have high-powered binoculars.

Excellent. Probably the helo has GPS as well. Which may fail months or years into the future, but that's not a problem for now. The binos and NVGs are stored under her seat. I think it's daylight now?
