Original FO/FO2 Polymeshes

On a side note: why those fucking Ghouls don't eat brains? It's a serious design flaw, IMO.

There are "whenhiton" floating textes which say "brrrains..." in FO2 atleast. I find it just silly, ghouls are no zombies. ;)

And yes, agreed, Jostisz does an amazing work there!

Some animations for the new Lenny

Looking nice! I'm glad you're going through with these ghouls :clap:

Now, if I may make a suggestion, could you make the ghouls wearing the jacket and lab coat walk like normal people instead of zombies? I think they should be able to walk normally if they still know how to put clothes on :) And for the walking animation, I think it should be slowed down a bit, and maybe try to make the ghoul hobble to the side, in a back and forth manner. Otherwise, keep going with this! :P

Well, for this time this is my favorite topic :D

Just like others, here is my progress (actually I have finished all "weapon" animations)

For now I'm very-very close to automate all process of frm creation (from 3D model to ready-to-use frm files). Thanks to Blender's scripts and Jochua's FrameAnimator :D You only have to push the button and relaxe, it's amazing!!! :P

Jotisz, as promissed, I have a gift for you :wink: The blend file with mesh, it's armature and idle/walk/run associated actions. I hope it could help you with yours ghouls. Just a ittle tip: you have to render odd frames (1, 3, 5 etc.)

Excellent Rainman...the only thing I would suggest - if possible can you replicate the flames from the original flamer...and light up the critter more when the flame shoot out. Other than that, great stuff... :clap:

I really like your minigun. Could you pass the model over to FOnline: 2238 modelling task force? Would be nice. :p

There is nothing impossible, .Pixote. , and replicate the fallout oroginal flames with help of Photoshop's automate functions (or without it) is not very hard, but I don't need to have fallout's stuff for the game I'm working on... Moreover, I don't like fallout flames (in fact it has only 4 frames, there is no "start of flame dropping" phase and it drops a shadow... ugh!) Position of lightening lamp was corrected at once I saw rendered images :)
Lexx, the minigun model is not perfect for 3D game, there is to much of polys and these polys are too horribles (in other words, this model is not optimizes, and I think that after optimization it will loks just like all of other models...) BTW, it consists of two models (body and guns).

@Rain man
Nice flamer and minigun animation they look also thanks for the blend file it will be real useful on the long run.
@Ghouly89
I think you are right I thought back a little and realized that if I go with this walking then I would need to remodel the power armors too since I want this critter to replace Lenny well I guess I will do a normal walking too.

I have my new Lenny up and running, and the game feels so much better having a unique Ghoul critter. He drags himself around just like a Ghoul should...and with the rifle animation I can feed him a lot of superior weapons. I might give Lenny a glow, just like the hero critter, considering he's endured a lot of radioactivity over the years. Actually I use to never want Lenny in my team, but now...Lenny's the man. :mrgreen:

Would be too slow for me. :p

Ghouls are meant to be slow - but he isn't as slow as you think, and in combat he moves around very quickly, oddly (it must be a sfall thing)...:wink:

Nah, I don't agree with "all ghouls should be slow". It's kind of like with zombies for me: If they are fresh, why should they not be able to run. But if they get old and all cracked up, they should become slower and slower...

If the boys at BlackIsle wanted fast Ghouls they would have built them...Lenny must be at least 120+ years old (imagine those crusty muscles and ligaments). Anyway the Fallout 2 Ghouls look crap, so I'm sticking to the original Ghouls... :mrgreen:

... Which they have done in Fallout 2. :>

And they suck balls...they must have lost their original modeller and animator, because we all know the new critters in Fallout 2 were stinkers. :seriouslyno:

Lobotomites > Ghouls. They're looking like really fast and fresh beasts :D

Great looking critter - who built and animated him? One thing though - I wish you guys would change your resolution so people can see him more clearly, maybe 640x480 for critter AVI's...but beautiful work nevertheless. :wink:

It's in HD, just switch over to the highest resolution on youtube and go fullscreen ;) Thanks to FOnline Engine one can zoom it while ingame..

As for the playermodel/animations, user Karpov made it, the actual Rangeroutfit is made by the user Luther Blisset. If you are interested in the progress, you find everything here, guys make an amazing fast progress there :) : http://fonline2238.net/forum/index.php?board=31.0

When everything is done, stuff can be rendered into 2d Sprites aswell to share it with the other FO2 modders, that's a real beauty.

Looking pretty cool, especially how that coat is animated. Although I'm not a fan of this Obsidianization 8-)

Anyway, looks like we're living in golden era of animationization: Ursa, Rain Man, FOnline and that Van Buren critters ;)
