PCZone editor is happy

That's the thing, though. I don't have Bethesda. I thought the merch was weak. That's all. There's no agenda here, I just didn't some of the stuff.

Dude, anger is fun

Better, its justified.

At least if you read how those dumb fucks on Bethesda forum are justifying the game in order to get Oblivion with Guns in a fallout world. What I call (the Tactics Cluster fuck goes FPS).

Ironic how the longevity of the Fallout universe is owed largley to the fans who missed the game and wanted a Fallout 3.
How these same fans have been campaigning for a good fallout game,
which generates the hype
So that Bethesda can produce a game that looks like a mockery of Fallout 1 and 2.

Don't you think that's worth getting pissed off?

Sure, pissed off when you read such stupid things in articles or from devs. Not pissed off at a bunch of merch. That's unrelated. Getting pissed at unrelated material is wacky.

Don't be angry. Be abusive with a smile :) .

Actually, it is related. It shows how devs treat the franchise - Nuka Cola that doesn't look like Nuca Cola (present in trailer too), ugly Vault Boy, etc.

Oh, fer Frith's...bullcrap! By that logic, the Van Buren guys didn't take it seriously because someone drew a Vault 69 poster as a joke. Stick it up your wazoo, why dontcha?

Which doesn't change that F3 Nuca Cola doesn't look like Nuca Cola and Vault Boy could be less ugly.

Yes. IN-GAME. Read my article, buuuudddy, I complain about the non-matching line art of vault boy plenty

Ahhh... 'tis the blessing of having globes of fecal matter for eyeballs. I didn't see anything wrong with it. And seeing as to how I can't find my glasses for the life of me, care to tell me what was wrong with the Nuka-Cola?

I wouldn't mind owning one of those bobble-head Vault Boys, though. It would look neat on my bookcase.

Hear, hear! Eloquently put.

I've got to get one of those bobble heads for my desk. I will have to steel myself for all the "what's that?" comments, but maybe someone who knows will see it..I literally have not met anyone who has given me knowing nod when mentioning fallout

It's hardly important, but I would have been vaguely impressed if they had blue liquid in the bottle. Suspect it was because they wanted it to be drinkable they didn't, are there any blue soft drinks? Only blue drinks I know are of the alcho-pop variety. The bottle you see in the bus in the intro does look like the traditional though, complete with blue hue, so can't really whinge about that!

Quite like the box, but would've preferred the original style artwork. Bobble head also looks ok. Don't like the t-shirt, imo it would've been better if they chucked a Vault number on it, and had F3 in small print underneath (without the silly dot). Wonder if for E3 they will make a full suit of power armor? I'd have to get a ticket and skullfuck some people

On a different note - does anyone read PCZ, if so, what's the standard of journalism like in it these days? The magazine (for me) went downhill when it went 'nice' and got rid of stuff like Cruelty Zoo (evidenced by them going on to give stinking games high scores). Can we expect an anywhere near objective preview, with poignant questions being asked - or pure hype?

Ah cool, going to have to whinge at my local shoppe's lousy selection now, every colour but blue in the cabinets - guess I need to pay more attention to the adverts on TV!

Oh, it's been discontinued for years, everywhere but in Mexico. It's (one of) Pepsi's New Coke, so to speak.

By the way, Tactics speaks of a New Nuka Cola that was a flop. Maybe the Bethesda version is that? :)

As much as I enjoyed Pepsi Blue it was a marketing flop (I fiend for it so). Also there was Jones Blue bubblegum soda which is sadly gone where I live. Anyway back on track F1 and 2 bottle shape is copyrighted by coca cola company and you cant reproduce it with out being sued. The brown phosphate drink inside that big glug bottle is likely some sort of delicious cola instead of a fruit flavored mess.

Honestly though these are somewhat light hearted promotional materials for a video game. Of course the lunchbox is going to be Fallout 3 VAULT SECURE! though they should drop a Fallout 1 and 2 CD in the box to pump up their targets. That would be sweetness
