Piss off NMA with 1 sentence.

Well, yes you're right, hate is a very strong word. But turn based combat was a deliberate decision by the original Fallout 1 team, and a choice which they havn't done lightly. It was a central focus of their development and the Fallout experience. It's like removing the chocolate from a chocolate cake and claiming it would still be a chocolate cake. If all you like is just cake, any cake, this might not bother you, but if you're craving the chocolate experience ... well you get the picture. Now excuse me, I need some candy.

.... I like white cake best.

And here, we can see the one and only R.Graves living up to his reputation as the Thread Derailer.

No wonder you had 1300+ posts in a span of less than 3 months.

As for pissing off NMA with 1 sentence yet again,

"I only played Fallout 4 because I prefer them to Fallout 1 and 2, even though I haven't played Fallout 1 and 2."

You make it sound as though I'm the stuff of legend. I've only derailed like two threada IIRC.

The decision between dark and white chocolate has always been a pivotal question though. Touching on metaphysical and existential problems. It was only toped by the question of, vanilla or chcolate?
Whole societies have collapsed on those questions.

"Interplay was just as bad as bethesda IMO."
^my actual opinion.
I see where you are coming from there, however there is an important distinction in my view.

Interplay as a company was awful, however the team that worked on the games were just an ordinary group of friends who came up with cool ideas, and happened to get caught up in the corporate bullshit as a result.

The team that work for Bethesda not only get caught up in corporate bullshit, but actively go along with it by choice.

Why did interplay cancel van buren. And make POS. It baffles me.
@JO'Geran
IIRC they didn't cancel it, they just put HUGE amounts of priority on POS 2 over Van Buren, and stated that it would have to be finished before they could release Van Buren.

As to why they did it, same reason Bethesda makes DLCs that you could basically install better fan-versions of off of Nexus. Consoles don't have much, and therefore something which is basic-level shit for PC users, is an infinite cash cow when sold to Console Users. While Van Buren would have likely been a huge success, POS 2 would have been a quick and easy cashgrab.
