If I was 12 years old, I'd praise both games as if they were gifts from God due to their "awesumz mutant shewting AXON!". However, as a 19-year-old, these games are just insulting. They're so dumbed down in order to cater to the casual, console-gaming majority it makes me sick. I don't find it fun to poke around generic city ruins looking for that stupid adhesive and reading wacky stories from terminals, while blasting some ghoul/mutant/raider heads every once in a while. I enjoy RPG's that are well-written, offer interesting and meaningful choices, lack excessive hand-holding and present a challenge. Everything that F1, 2 and NV consist of, basically.
So, yes, they're both bad. Sadly, the gaming industry is becoming much like the music industry. Actual good, well thought out music isn't as profitable, so big record companies sign talentless "artists" with that one annoying "hit song" filled with studio effects and autotune. That shit SELLS because most people don't understand what makes music good. That's why Fallout 3 and 4 sell too.
Rant over.
