When you look at those great historical countries, do you ever consider how crappy they were for the working class?
Before it's decline Romans only had to pay 2 days worth of wages in taxes a year to maintain the Empire.
nothing from your link cites anything apart from marina abramovic nonsense that i dont care about.
>I don't care about it so it's not a problem
Epic, not responding to you anymore.

Utterly irreverent but yes. Never once did I think I was entitled to the exact same paycheck as the people who run the company.
Why do you think people shouldn't get fair wages for their jobs?
They do get fair wages, working at McDonalds shouldn't pay the same as CEO of a Fortune 500 company as the skill and work required are totally different.
Knocking down successful people to prop up others isn't "fair".

Because politics hasn't changed since it was first created thousands of years ago. Ain't politics and democracy grand?

Neither have roads or the wheel. Just because a concept is old, doesn't mean it's bad. It's a matter of how it's used. And that has definitely changed over thousands of years. But I bet you have an idea on what's better than democracy.

If only we had some kind of technological revolution that completely changed the way we do manual labour and made slaves totally obsolete....
The point is that the reason the Romans had to pay such low taxes, is because the vast majority of there population lived in literal slavery.

Paying such high taxes nowadays is a small price to pay, supposing that most people live in decent conditions as a result.

Yes, yes because this is EXACTLY what I demanded. Exactly my words! Pay the Burger-flippers the same amount of money a CEO gets. You nailed it. Gosh! I have been exposed of my vile tactics. Stalin help me!

Americans and their 'blame poverty on the poor' mentality. I will never completely understand that sentient ... but I guess this is why they love the Donald, or at least half of them do. He is everything that people love about the American dream. Powerfull, rich, can say and do what ever he wants. That this kind of thing, is a complete pipe dream, is probably not crossing their mind, but I guess winning the lottery is also a viable way to get out of poverty.

The US is really a capitalist state in it's endphase. Like Carlin Said, the US is done for, it's over.

And maintaining that technology and infrastructure, not to mention education and healthcare that didn't exist back then, doesn't at all cost more than 2 days worth of taxes.

Like 50% of the slaves in Rome were owned by just 2% of the elite class.

But we don't need to pay such high taxes. If we stopped ridiculous government spending, renegotiated awful trade deals and actually handled the national debt instead of adding onto it we'd be fine with even less than we spend now.
sure. great coping skills when you lose an argument.
Well you never actually formed an argument and just handwaved things you dont like with "i dont care so it dont matter herpdy derp" and I see you're still continuing that time honoured tradition of adding nothing to the discussion.
And before you continue you continue with your non formation of arguments Im only responding to this post because I have others to respond to as well.

Then what did you mean by "fair pay" and " tackle, is the disparity in income between lower, midle and higher classes."?
Americans and their 'blame poverty on the poor' mentality. I will never completely understand that sentient ...
And I never understood socialists and their "blame everything on the rich people cant possibly be poor for any reason other than oppression here lemme take some of your money" sentiment....
I guess this is why they love the Donald, or at least half of them do. He is everything that people love about the American dream. Powerfull, rich, can say and do what ever he wants. That this kind of thing, is a complete pipe dream,
Complete pipe dream despite multiple people doing it.

I wish I could just get all my political beliefs from stand up comics :/

It certainly doesn't cost as much as we're paying now and dipping into the wages of every single American in the country.

Also I like how when a bunch of negative shit about Hillary comes out yall's first instinct is to attack Trump and disregard any of her skeletons because Trump is so much worse because.... lol
Would all of you prefer Hillary "Helped destablize the Middle East, Got Americans killed, Occult Worship, Sex slavery and pedophilia" Clinton?

ok. you gave me about as much to go on that clinton's a paedophile to believe you're a paedophile, and somehow i'm responsible for not adding anything to the discussion

I don't have sources in the FBI saying they have proof of me being one nor am I under 5 simultaneous investigations by said FBI.
Nor do I have a campaign whom my Chairmen is involved with dinners where crazy "performance artists" mix blood, semen and breastmilk and paint walls and occult statues with it.
No amount of handwaving is gonna make this shit go away lol

great, thanks.
And what do you know, what he said corresponds with evidence that's been released so far.

this was already covered in early October.
>Epstein’s West Palm Beach estate is a $6,000,000 property, not to be confused with his $18,000,000 Caribbean island. Trump has only had dinner and vice versa with the “pedophile billionaire,” but his dark secret was something Donald Trump was grossly unaware of.
>The woman claiming alleged rape from decades ago is named Jane Doe. Investigations proves that she is also Tiffany Doe and Katie Johnson, located in three different states, all three supposedly different people claiming sexual assault. They are the same person.
>Unlike Bill Clinton, Trump does not have this kind of reputation following him around for decades. He marries women and divorces them, but he is not known for abuse and rape. Trump has operated Miss Universe for years, surely some of these young ladies would have come forward with allegations against the man by now if he acted inappropriately.
This is also the case that was never brought since Jane Doe never showed up to make her statement (and neither did her lawyers).

Lets also not forget about the other one that was debunked this year.
http://radaronline.com/celebrity-news/donald-trump-sexual-abuse-jeffrey-epstein-lawsuit/

>There’s a story in Patterson’s new book Filthy Rich about Palm Beach perv Jeffrey Epstein relating an incident that allegedly took place at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago in 1999.

>“That arrangement ended when a (Mar-a-Lago) member’s young daughter complained to her wealthy father: while relaxing at Mar-a-Lago, she’d been approached and invited out to Epstein’s house.
>“The girl said that she had gone and that Epstein had tried to get her to undress.
>“The girl’s father had gone directly to Trump, who — in no uncertain terms — told Epstein that he was barred from Mar-a-Lago.”

He had him over for dinner at his house once before anyone knew about the pedo shit
But guilt by association, that's how the left works. Instead of paying attention to the dozens of secret visits that the Clintons took to Epstein's private island which was used specifically for the prostituting of underaged girls, they pay attention to Trump knowing merely knowing the guy.

Being in someone's phone book =/= 26 trips on their underage orgy plane.

again:

"In 2010, Epstein pled the Fifth when asked by a lawyer representing one of Epstein's victims about his relationship with Trump:

Q: Have you ever had a personal relationship with Donald Trump?
A. What do you mean by "personal relationship," sir?
Q. Have you socialized with him?
A. Yes, sir.
Q. Yes?
A. Yes, sir.
Q. Have you ever socialized with Donald Trump in the presence of females under the age of 18?
A: Though I'd like to answer that question, at least today I'm going to have to assert my Fifth, Sixth, and 14th Amendment rights, sir.

Epstein did not respond to a request for comment."

invoking the right to not incriminate yourself--smooth.
