Bethesda doesn't allow the use of their stuff in other games.
Exactly!

There are plenty F3 fan made critters on Fallout Nexus that you can use legally, with the authors permission of course.
Naked mods? :ugly:

Anyway, mostly they're re-skins of existing models, I'm afraid. So you'll still need meshes from the game. Not to mention that changed textures are also from there. The rest are some latex, fetish and heavy unfitting shitty shities, like Space Marines! Or this

Well, there are some nice models like the Floaters. Also I once saw the ugly alien shitty-shit too.

/Edit: Here.

Hey Voron,

Sorry for the delay mate. We got a crunch week at work, 12 hour days man, no time to sleep let alone read emails.

I promise to reply by Sunday

Please, don't forget.

What was seen cannot be unseen!

That Wanamingo reminded me of a time when a friend of mine, replaced My Computer icon on my desktop with a link to a Tubgirl image he dug up some place.
I must say that the memory of that fateful day will stay with me till the grave.

When you guys said shitty-shit you forgot to mention that it was not FO3 shit like...but more of a Tubgirl shit like imagery.

Anywho.

Thanks for the suggestions. There seems to be some decent content here and there, the Floater for instance looks pretty good.
Once the first tech demo is out we will definitely start actively recruiting, especially, designers and modellers. Maybe some of these guys would consider joining our cause.

Once again thanks for the tips.

We be back dudes!

Hey Guys,

I know it's been a while. Lots and lots of stuff happened.
I'll try to find some time this weekend to write a decent update. Meanwhile have a look at this here link.

It's just some stuff we've been fooling around with.

Anyway, it's way past my bed time here so I'm gona go.
I'll be back on Saturday with a progress update.

Alex

Yet another update

Hey Guys,

It's that time of the month again. I know I promised to write an update like 3 weeks ago but what can I say.

Here is a link to our latest blog post for those of you who like to look at pretty (and sometimes not so pretty) pictures.
This stuff is still in that lovely stage we like to call "...ooh so pre pre pre alpha!". Maybe it's not the best idea to show all this in such an unfinished state but it's just hard to keep it all to ourselves. Besides my mom always told me to share stuff with other kids.

For those of you who are interested in what's happening inside our slightly mutated gathering, I have a few interesting things to share as well.
First and foremost, our team got 2 new members and 1 more is thinking of joining us. The guys who joined are 3D designers and the one who is thinking about it is an artist.
We also got ourselves an awesome writer / game designer, actually he joined a while back. The guy is so awesome that he asked us to keep him a secret. Go figure.

Now, as far as actual project is concerned there have been a few interesting developments as well.
Three months ago we dumped CE2 (CryEngine). It looks awesome it's just not what we needed after all. It's a shame we wasted a year on it but such is life.
In its place we got Unity3D. Awesome engine, brilliant editor, cheap commercial licence :) .

Of course the downside is that everything needs to be done from scratch. Although to be honest everything is so simple in Unity that we never feel restrained or limited in terms of what we can do. Everything you see in the screenshots was done from scratch in about 3 weeks. The rest of the time was spent on game logic and misc scripts.
So, this is no longer a mod. It's not a game yet either, but we hope it will get there someday :) .

Anyway, this is what happened so far, there is more stuff on the horizon as always. This month we will continue working on the weapons and basic animation and most probably start working on movement controllers for the NPCs and the player character.

That's about it. Let us know what you guys think, your feedback and comments are always welcome.

Always interesting to see stuff like this, especially when it looks promising.

Since you've gone commercial I assume this is no longer Fallout.
Are you still going to stay closely inspired by the Fallout world, or are we to expect a completely new setting?

Hey Bengt,

Since you've gone commercial I assume this is no longer Fallout.

To be honest we still aren't 100% sure what we can and cannot do as far as Fallout content is concerned. Once the tech demo is ready we will do a thorough investigation and get proper legal advice on the issue. Right now our only concern is to deliver a decent demonstration of our vision for this game. Everything else is secondary.

Are you still going to stay closely inspired by the Fallout world, or are we to expect a completely new setting?

If it turns out that we cannot use the original Fallout setting we will most probably set the game on another continent. But, we will definitely stick to the original timeline of all major events.
But like I said before, right now our primary concern is the technology demo.

There is a mountain of work for just 5 people but we will do our best not to disappoint you guys.

Grey, grey, grey...why is everything grey?

Hey Guys,

There is some new stuff on our blog. It's a short vid actually. Nothing spectacular just lots of nice, grey models that are waiting to be textured. Ain is on a deserved holiday (yeah, right :| ), so everything is a bit colorless and dull at the moment.

On a brighter note (pun probably intended), we have welcomed a new member on board. Nikita has joined our ranks hell-bent on making our vault a better place. He's been with us a little over a month and in that time managed to deliver a truck load of models, most of which you can see in the video.

As far as the tech demo itself is concerned things are moving along nicely. In the next couple of weeks we will probably finish the Input controller's code. If that happens we will finally be able use the mouse for things other than scrolling and rotating the camera.
We are also finalizing the design docs for the TD, so with any luck we should begin working on the actual playable maps and content in about a week or so.

That's all for today gents. We will be back some time before the bombs fall.

That demo looks fantastic  …crucially it looks and feels like Fallout. Is this purely a fan mod, or is there commercial desire here. It’s just the quality is very high for a bunch of Fallout nuts, anyway good luck…

Thanks for the comments fellas.
It’s just the quality is very high for a bunch of Fallout nuts...
We are not nuts...we are fetishists

I'm glad you guys liked it. To be honest there is a great desire for this project to reach commercial success, but at the same time it's not the financial desires that push us forward it's the thought that we might actually pull this off
Once Ain gets back he will hopefully texture the hell out of this thing, then it will look like Fallout.

Thanks again guys.

Do you want to make it commercial as a fallout game or as something else?

Anyway they enviroment looks great and pretty fallout, but i have to say i miss the superhero anatomy on the characters.

Hey bog

It's hard to say how it'll turn out, but we will definitely try to stay as true to the Fallout spirit as humanly possible.

Not to worry dude pecks, six-packs, steel buns and nice perky racks are not going anywhere. It's just these guys are a bit out of shape.
