Honestly Fallout's a sinking ship, leave it to the FPS players and just make do with mods and high fantasy RPG's.

Just you wait until New Vegas is decanonised.
Meh you see the same with Star Wars and that still has not diminished interest by its original fans.
I am pretty sure that even if Bethesda decanonizes Fallout New Vegas fan interest will remain.
And who know, if Bethesda goes down and is forced to sell its IPs that there still will be people who remember FNV much more fondly than any of Bethesda's own Fallouts, making future Fallout developers aware that Fallout 1, 2 and New Vegas are the best remembered and the only titles worth following up on.
