I’ve just reached a place
Where the willow don’t bend
There’s not much more to be said
It’s the top of the end
I’m going
I’m going
I’m gone
I’m closin’ the book
On the pages and the text
And I don’t really care
What happens next
I’m just going
I’m going
I’m gone
I been hangin’ on threads
I been playin’ it straight
Now, I’ve just got to cut loose
Before it gets late
So I’m going
I’m going
I’m gone
Grandma said, “Boy, go and follow your heart
And you’ll be fine at the end of the line
All that’s gold isn’t meant to shine
Don’t you and your one true love ever part”
I been walkin’ the road
I been livin’ on the edge
Now, I’ve just got to go
Before I get to the ledge
So I’m going
I’m just going
I’m gone

That whole album is a pretty solid effort, IIRC. 8/10

New song by Mamiffer with a brilliant video by Daniel Menche.

This is kind of the type of ambient(ish)/slow stuff I've been getting into for some time now. 8/10
I'll be sure to check out more of that band.

8/10. Good old Beastie Boys. Good group, but if you'd mind, I'd like to play something a little less old school, but still an Oldie But Goodie. One of my favorite songs, well... ever;

I'm sorry, I can't appreciate whispery guitary songs. I don't know why, but I really don't like it. In my mind it's all the same simple pop indie stuff.

Mmm. That song by Bonobo was certainly airy and dreamlike. 9/10.

3/10. Not my scene, and that kinda of music just strikes me not benefiting at all from being reduced to instrumental. Even if you wanted to turn something ambient, that kind of music just doesn't suit background noise, to me.

3/10. Not my scene either...

I can't imagine getting any work done with that playing, nor imagine listening to it for fun or as a break from anything.

It's just a sample I sometimes loop when writing stuff.
I wouldn't expect nu-metal fans to like it, as it's just chill out music.
Though I have some tracks for you too, worth a shot if you haven't heard yet.

That stuff really isn't my thing.

My dad introduced me to the Canterbury scene of rock.

Couldn't find "Why Am I so Short" by itself.

2/10 - REEEEEEEEEEEALLY not my scene. Sorry. =(

I wouldn't call myself a fan of any particular genre or style. I like all different kinds. I get into moods where I feel like listening to this or that. Sometimes I need some 20s Jazz. Sometimes I need to scratch a Punk Rock itch. Sometimes I need to head bang. Sometimes I wanna hear some J-Pop. Sometimes newer stuff, too. But there's just a couple genres I CANNOT stand, and along with American Country and others, that song just fit in with what I don't like. But that second you listed was pretty good. Not great, especially since the vocals kinda watered down the rest of the song, but the instrumental sections were pretty awesome.

Parov Stelar - Catgroove

6 or possibly 7 / 10
Wouldn't put on my "actively listening to" playlist but it would quite suit my background music tastes.

A little western for you then;

I really, really don't like Lindsey Stirling. To me they just seem to be trying too hard to seem cool in that video. She's good at playing the violin, but then she has to do covers to make it more marketable. She has to do videos with a theme of whatever people might think is cool, in this instance, cowboys. Then they have to put in some hip modern dancing in there of course. Nothing wrong with liking it of course, but I dislike it.

Hmm... the number I feel like giving it keeps fluctuating between 4/10 and 6/10. Still not a big fan of a hip hop sections, and then the chorus kicks in and I'm liking it. I guess, since it's between the 3 scores I feel possible, and the song is eliciting liked and disliked sentiments, 5/10 would be appropriate? Straight down the middle of the road, not great not bad. Pretty decent song. =|

This isn't post apocalyptic, but I like the moment where one possible interpretation is that corruption leads to the end of the world. =)

Well that was definitely different. I really wanted to hear the chick rap. 7.8/10

Also I had to put this one in. One of my favorite songs from Grave Plott...

Could easily rate that one as 9 on my offensive song list.
Still doesn't beat FTW from ICP which may very well be the most offensive song in history.
