Gotta say I never heard about that project before, but this song really interested me and it's actually pretty nice overall. It's not a great song but I'll give it a 7/10 for trying some cool experimental rhythms not just here but in the other songs of the project.

Have no opinion about it, but it wouldn't bother me if someone were to listen to it beside me. 7/10

Badass guitar solo starts at around 8:50~

That's some pretty good 1970s space jazz. I liked it best from the guitar solo onward. 8/10.

Interesting story: Chick Corea is a long-time Scientologst. One time, probably twenty years ago now, he tried to recruit my piano-player friend. Gave him a pretty hard sell too, as I hear it.

Jambalaya, by Hank Williams, Sr., 1952:

Akratus,
I liked your Suuns and Jerusalem thing. The sleepy intro threw me off, but it picked up a lot after that. 7/10.

Cowboy country is the only country I can listen to. Hank Williams is a legend.

Now my favorite prog artist:

9/10 for crass fun giggles, 2/10 for musicality + 2 points for the cute little b5 thing in the verses, so ~6/10.

Mastodon's first 4 albums are my favourite modern-prog records out there (none of that djent nonsense they call 'progressive') ... 9/10

"Djent" bands are literally just metalcore bands who had rich parents that could afford to send them to art school.

Also 6/10 it's a bit weird for my tastes.

Iron Maidens always classic. 8/10

One of my favorite songs of all time.

"I'm not an atheist...
Oh, he let me grow up in the mother fucking ghetto.
Thanks for nothing mother fucker, that's for real"

I've always loved Esham. Favorite artist of all time. Esham is one of the very few people who can make an album, and I can throw the CD in and let it play from start to finish without feeling the need to skip songs.

And then of course there is Drive U 2 Suicide and Make Me Wanna Holla. Everything Esham makes is pure gold:

2/10, I can't stand rap.

I feel like too many people aren't appreciating the full 10 scale. Gotta use the full scale. 5 should mean the absolute middle of the road, where the feelings towards something don't go one way or the other, but anything above that is something positive. The bottom 4 are where dislike or total lack of appreciation should be reserved for. Don't like it? That's gotta be a maximum of 4, probably a 3. Not your thing but it doesn't bother you? Maybe a 4. Just didn't do anything for you? That's a 5.

I've been on a slight The Birthday Massacre kick, so I've been enjoying some of their work. Goddamn great songs. I don't listen to music for the lyrics, so my enjoyment of their songs has little to do with the words, but the singing is very nice, and the music... ah, that fucking music. So good.

4.5/10. Nice instrumentals but the progressions themselves are a little too predictable, and the vocals sound very restrained and 'over-polished'.

I saw Sunn O))) last night so I should probably post them, but this is what I listened to on the way there. Their first album sadly isn't on the Youtubes but this isn't too far away from it.

As an aside I really don't understand that djent-artschool thing. I don't care for much of the 'genre' but that's a very lazy thing to say.

Damn... so Jewish. XD

6/10 I suppose. Though it does little for me, and it's quite simple, it does have that primal catchiness to it.

Can't have some Birthday Massacre without some NSP.

Dan's voice is really incredible and I really love most of the chorus sections of NSP's songs. Humorous lyrics telling a silly story and colorful, hilarious music video are just nice icing on a delicious cake. And the climax of the song at about 2:30 in... mmm, just a good song all round.

6/10, I tend to be a sucker for any song remotely about love but the jokes were far too silly for my taste. That voice gave it a bonus point all by itself, though.

You WOULD post a WWE theme song, wouldn't you? =D
Good music, so I'd give it a 7/10.

It's ALL about the music and the vocals, to me. While over the top, at least the jokes are on the humorous side. But seriously... his voice IS incredible!

That above theme (at least the beginning of it) reminded me of the music from Super Stardust HD. Good game. Amazing soundtrack! =D

Anyway...
I feel like I must've posted this before, but it's still pretty good. I'm just a sucker for pulse pounding beats sometimes, and combined with that soundtrack, it just made my entire month as I listened to it on an ENDLESS loop (especially 4:55 - 5:17) about a year ago. Still nice to come back to it and listen to it again. It sometimes aggravates my chronic headaches, but it's worth it. =)
