The insane Einstein dwarf. 8/10
0/10 for the man on fire ping ponging ratings. But 8/10 for the gif.
5/10 pretty creepy...
6/10, loving it for the content, but cannot give it points for creativity.
Cool. I kept looking at it for two minutes because Walpknut said the mouth moved. It doesn't. Still 8.2/10.
The mouth moved in the previous one.
9/10 for the bouncing anti matter.
7/10? Faaaaaar better than the previous one. I appreciate that it ties in with the avatar before the last, which is still in your sig.
I've just about given up on GIFs of this character that match the size specifications for NMA, aren't letterbox ratios, and include his signature laugh/grin, whilst also meeting my particular desires for the image. Oh, and loops seamlessly, too. Every time I go hunting for one, it's missing at least one of these things, and it always bothers me. There's one I really like, but the animation goes from state A to state B then resets, which I don't like. There's another I like, but the animation is just glimmer on his glasses. There's another that hides his grin, which defeats the purpose of what I'm looking for. There's one that... etc etc.
So, at this point, I'll settle for an image as long as I like the angle, the focus, the framing, the shading, and Doffy's smile.
7/10 This one is a little better than the other. Not a big anime fan though.
8/10 to the creepy Einstein dwarf.
Another *you*, I see. Good one. The "W" logo is a sweet addition.
I know I've rated that same avatar before, and I usually prefer not to re-rate the same avatar multiple times, unless for some reason my opinion of the exact same thing has changed with time. In your case, that hasn't happened. Still cool, still identifiable. Still the same score I left it before... whatever that was. =D
All you gotta be a fan of is good storytelling. =)
But not being a big fan of anime will certainly gate you from ever watching One Piece. Just like if I wasn't a big fan of French dramas, if some particular French drama had amazing storytelling, I'd more than likely never get around to watching it. I've personally stopped watching the anime in favor of sticking to the manga, because the anime's changed directors a couple times over the years, and I REALLY don't like the direction it's in right now, but the manga will ALWAYS be spearheaded by Oda Eiichiro! Only changes in store are his drawing style evolving over time. The rest is going to be reliably consistent. ^^
8/10 two points off only because I hate the art style of One Piece, but that screenshot is pretty awesome.
Is that you with a headband? I can't read the fine print...
I realize I have posted this avatar to be rated before, but I have had a long absence and thought I might gather some extra opinions.
Background: Painting of a Nordic Hero by the name of Orvar Oddr.
Very nice; 8/10.
Huh, didn't realize we needed to explain our avatars when I rated someone else's. But that's cool to know!
6/10, I don't like the Christmassy flare edited to the picture all that much. I thought it was cooler without it.
7.5/10, We don't.
There's a few "anime" that I like, but I've never fully gotten into it. Attack on Titan is pretty cool, even though they're going to have to re-do the story since some dickhead that worked for the company posted all the spoilers online after he got fired.
o.o Hadn't heard that. Huh... Well that's a bit of a bummer.
8/10 by the way. I like the new one. Very fitting. =)
As for anime... for me, I've been gravitating slowly away from animated series, largely because the big juggernauts just have issues I can't stand. It's HILARIOUS if you were to show the Berserk anime (not the movies) to an anime novice and tell them that THIS is the highly censored version of the story to see their reaction! XD But it's for that very reason of it being so heavily censored and many of the story arcs just being totally edited out that I find it kind of deflating, in a way. The first Fullmetal Alchemist was pretty good, even after it completely deviated from the original story, but when I watch finer stories, you start to see "the cracks", and it's one of many series that just poses ridiculousness and absurdities in place of a coherent story, which is disappointing. Many of those series I loved watching, but found them somewhat cringe-worthy in retrospect. I gave up on Naruto's anime during the infamous "2 year filler hell" back in the mid 00s. So much garbage! And, as I've said elsewhere, I've more or less stopped watching the One Piece anime altogether because I dislike the direction it's had nowadays.
But every now and then I find a gem. Usually short series, unlike AOT. Steins;Gate, for instance, was a treasure. Short, but delightful. Based on a thing based on a thing based on a thing, with origins in one of Japan's many dating simulator "gal games". XD Again, upon applying retrospection, I can see it! The main character has to basically go on dates with the female cast in order to restore the timeline, so it's not all that surprising the first SG was a gal game. Still a FANTASTIC anime, however. I mean, Fate Stay: Night was a pretty good anime, and FS has its origins in hentai games!
This is one of the many videos or posts I've seen detailing this story. I would say there are spoilers, but since there re-writing the entire story...
How wide this kids eyes get when he talks about the series is just hilarious.
9/10 because I like the machine -1 because lack of color.
