Resident Evil: Zombies, Plagues, and Hot Main Characters

Play RE Remake HD and 0 since they often come in a pack. If not just Remake. Then try Remake 2. If you like fixed camera play the PSX games and Code Veronica.

1. Giving Carlos a messy hair cut seems to be a way to differentiate him from the typical pretty boys. My wife certainly liked it.

2. RE3 definitely feels like DLC to RE2.

3. Jill got much more foul mouthed in the remake. Tough Grrl.

4. Calling the RE games shooters is silly since there's ACTUAL light gun shooters. You can also run away from most monsters in the normal RE games. RE 4, 5, and 6 are shooters, though.

And then CT Phipps can review it so I don't have to play it. Or I can play it on my new PC. No that would be a sellout move. I won't play FPS RE.

Wait I played Survivor. I am a hypocrite.

I'm probably the only person who is like, "FUCK YES! ETHAN AND MIA ARE BACK! Oh and Chris. That guy."

The entire "not a survival horror game" arguement revolves around the type of camera used which is hilarious to me because it's like saying super Mario 64 isn't a platformer because it's got a different camera system than older platformers.

As someone who's never played Resident Evil before and currently has a PS4, PC and busted old dusty PS3 (kept alive unnaturally beyond that of the retired 360 for the sole purpose of running Demon Souls, MGS and Red Dead Redemption 1) what's my recommendation for a go around here.
REmake. REmake. REmake.

That is my favorite of the fixed camera games and the mood....you have to play it to understand.

I am moderatedly excited for RE8 but I just don't get why Ethan is involved, he seemed more like an everyman out of his depth than someone who would actually get involved into more of the BOW shit out of his own volition.

When the genre is centered on a key aspect you will find removing it makes the game something else. Like the lack of control in survival horror games like Remake when compared to Resident Evil 4. Take away the fixed camera and the game wouldn't even give you a start. Then it would just be another game where you run around and shoot monsters. Look we need to call these Horror games or something. You can't even fucking call these games Survival Horror because the moniker is meant to tell you what the fucking game will play like. I grew up reading SURVIVAL HORROR on all the game reviews in my magazines. They all played just like Resident Evil 1. Nobody ever called System Shock survival horror. Nobody ever called Ghouls and Ghosts survival horror. Nobody ever called a fucking FPS survival horror. It's not a survival horror game. It's a FPS that happens to have a horror theme. What is the point of calling games by their genre if it just has to do with being scaaaarrryyy and collecting bullets? They removed half the fucking puzzles already so I am surprised there is any survival in these horror games.

Long story short SURVIVAL HORROR lost it's meaning when people like Graves came along namely the younger generation. Right around the time the PS2 started calling Resident Evil 4 survival horror. Then Gears of War and The Last of Us are also survival horror. See how this works? It's nonsense. It's a scary game. I don't even call these games survival horror anymore but fags are still doing this? It's a horror game. Someone asks me I will say it's a scary game. If I told one of my older friends it was Survival Horror they would be like "you mean like Resident Evil on the PSX?"

Basically fuck Capcom for coining the phrase.

FPS? Pah, so that is what children call them. Those of true greatness know their real name.

DOOM CLONE

Just from the trailer, he and Mia seem to have a baby and the baby is kidnapped -- probably because it has fungus powers.

Then he either hallucinates Chris killing Mia or actually does kill her (oh like that's going to stop her).

I'm assuming the vampires want the babies' infected fungus blood or maybe Ethan and Mia's.

I don't think it's actually that big of a difference. Shooters are about having all the ammo you need to kill the enemies while survival horror is about resource management in a limited area. So, Last of Us is kind of in a grey area.

I seem to remember have to ration the ammo for quite some weapons in the first Doom game back in the day. But to be honest I suck at shooters and don't play them much or at all since the 90's.

I was thinking Resident Evil Remake on PS4 followed by the modern RE2 and RE3 remakes. Regular old RE4 is apparently available for PS4 so that's an option too.

Or is this a scenario where I'm being a total pleb by playing the remakes first. If so, with my platforms available what's my best bet
Oh I forgot to mention you can buy the original re2 and 3 on pan for your ps3 for like 5 bucks each.

The trailer clearly depicts him being brought back in by circumstances out of his control tho?
