Especially that we have successfully eradicated disease like Smallpox, Polio, (and hopefully Leprosis) whose impact on ancient culture are too much to affect human civilization mindset. If you think Covid is bad remember those people have to make their life surviving the kind of plagues that kill more soldiers than through battle alone.
