Regarding Polio. BBC news reported that the sewers in London are swimming with Polio virus and there have been some cases of late. Tuberculosis has never been eradicated, nor has Bubonic Plague. But with Putin crossing the border he kinda created a new situation. It became much simpler now. It is black-and-white for now. Because Russia under Putin decided to start a war with the goal to erradicate Ukraine.

It's like World War 2. Maybe before things escalated there was an argument. But once you actually start a war. This stuff, diplomacy, geopolitics? All that flies out of the window. Because war FORCES people to chose sides. In other words. When someone like Hitler attacks Poland, you're either with Hitler or against Hitler. There is no "inbetween" of "maybe that genocide/war/what-ever is justified". You have an attacker. And a defender. It's what war does. And why war is shitty. And the people that start them are shitty too. Regardless who they are.

This isn't a war about nationality or rightousnes. It's about who's controlling Europe's bread basket. Ukraine, has been neutral in the East vs West palooza dick measuering contest that has been going on since after WW2. Look at what impact it has had one both Russia and Europe, that no grain has been moving out of Ukraine. Whom ever controls Ukraine, also controls the grain export. And with that control comes the power to descide who's going to starve.

I can't argue with that. Also if gas/oil pipelines are solely on Russian territory this gives them more power. Power in the sense of power not electrical output.
