Russia attacks Ukraine

I don't think it's even an American idiom, he was just being stupid lol
Other countries can use American idioms. I've seen British people call the police the 5-O and say they plead the 5th. Favorite will be the British guy quoting the Articles of Confederation, a defunct document from before the US Constitution was written as to why he shouldn't have to pay a parking ticket.

I think people underestimate the power of being an on-camera asshole. This is fluff to keep us entertained. If you wanna go even halfway to truth, watch the senate/congressional meetings.

Drones have changed the face of warfare so greatly in just three years to the point that if a third world war is fought. The biggest concern and trauma will be the buzz of drones. I think drones have essentially made light infantry and the element of surprise nearly non existant without having electronic warfare specialist's in the squad now

Him winning the election would count as winning, you double posting dummy. the touchdown celebration was him spending 10 minutes of his address to congress on it, try to keep up, BUD.
Okay, and is addressing the win solving an actual issue in the country?

I think I'd take ww2 trench war vs this anyday. Being hunted by a drone, jesus christ.

Good thing is, infantry will never be obsolete. Nothing can replace it, hence why it will stay.

I've watched those videos to the point it seems propaganda. Expect me to believe not one single person over there thought of birdshot in a 20ga? Are people over there really that retarded or is continuing war better for a few people's wallets?

All that loss of life, hard to imagine in the U.S.

One of my cats had the new bird flu. It's bascially just strep throat. After an injection and a week on antibiotics she's fine again.

Edit: Oh wait we're not talking about the bird cough.

Run that story. I bet there is a good reason to shut down the economy again.
This season: old orange man.

They won't post failed hits, it's counterproductive for both sides. The same mechanisms prevent you from seeing 155mm shells' pov hitting enemy positions. Despite drone proliferation, artillery is still the King of battle. ECM has proved to be the most effective way of disabling drones, which is why Russia is premiering fibre-optic drones; while Ukraine is installing ai-assisted targeting enabled when the connection is lost with the pilot.
or is continuing war better for a few people's wallets?
This has nothing to do with American leftover scepticism from GWOT and the MIC, it's a conventional war for the survival of the Ukranian state and its culture. Russia is desperately trying to cling on to its imperial project.

The US has the luxury of expending metal instead of blood, short wars are always preferred to long ones. E.G. Vietnam contra the Gulf War.

I would too tbh. Though i will say, one scenario is the a frog slowly having his water turn boiling while he's sitting in it. The other is a fox chasing rabbit, but the fox has a brick of c4 on his pelt. The most natural counter to trench warfare is Machine guns and artillery, anything that can travel in an arc. The most natural offset to Blitzkrieg tactics is Information and drones assets. Lose the element of surprise. God watching that reminded me of the Hunter Killers from the Terminator movies

You could it the other way, trench warfare was enabled by machine guns, artillery and the large force concentration on the western front. It was broken when the German state buckled under the Entente blockade. "Blitzkrieg tactics" are just classic manoeuvre warfare or bewegungskrieg. Information has always been important for battles, the only thing that changes is how it's gathered.
Ukraine was able to invade Russia and achieve tactical surprise back during the summer of 2024 with rapid re-deployment from other fronts, EW and force concentration.
