Scariest Fallout critter

Super Mutants.

Okay, so I'm going to admit that FO3 was my first exposure to the series.
Deathclaws didn't scare me that much in that game; my first encounter with one of those was seeing one through my sniper scope chasing a wastelander through an old barn at night. With the old dudes help, I was able to take the beastie out from a distance.
My first encounter with a super mutant on the other hand...

...I was running backwards through and old graveyard by a derelict church unloading everything I had as this huge brute bore down on me. That scared the crap out of me.

Playing Fallout 1 after that was quite an experience. Deathclaws are truly terrifying in that game, but Super mutants still scared me more.

Deathclaws in original Fallout, especially Mother Deathclaw. Not because she's scary, but holy hell, is she difficult. Maybe it's because I go for the Gunrunners' quest too early, but with combat armour and sniper rifle, she still puts up quite a fight. Then again, very much worth it for all of that delicious exp and ammo.

I too do that. I haven't plaid FO1 enough to sortof "exploit" it better, so I'll usually tackle the Mother Deathclaw with - litterally - everything I got.
In every sense of the word: My last try, I was down to 0 stimpaks, just a few shells of shotgun ammo left, and my health below "almost dead". Out of stubbornness, the whole thing had deteriorated into an almost curgical procedure, where I insisted I would not die before my last shell was spent :D
Like a goddamn miracle she bowed down to a critical, and I emerged out of that shadowy cellar, inches from death, GUSHING blood (I bet), but my GOD - how I won that day! How I won it!

The first time I saw a Radscorpion. It was when I entered one of those caves that are located in some of the random encounter areas. When I first came across this hideous freak, it was in the middle of the night with the lights off.

To be perfectly honest, I am not the type of person who jumps at everything...but damn..that thing crept me out for a few seconds.

Radscorpions and centaurs
haha i remember shitting my pants when fast travelling and that shit radnomly pops up as an encounter xD

Centaurs Centaurs CENTAURS. I know they don't do much damage, but eggggh, it's just a WTF on legs.
I hate Cazadores, but they don't really scare me. I remember the first time I ran into those bastards. I saw them in the distance, thought, 'AHHHHHH LOOK AT THE PRETTY BUTTERFLIES!!!' and rushed towards them.
Boy, was I in for a surprise...
Some of the creatures in the NV expansions creeped me out though - those damn Ghost People nearly scared the piss outta me the first time I encountered them. And Tunnelers. When Ulysses said they may be a threat to New Vegas, I NOPE'd pretty hard.
When I first started playing Fo3, I was scared of Mirelurks. I didn't play the game for a month after running into one in Arefu, but I got over that pretty quick.
I know my dad is scared of Deathclaws, haha. He was watching me play New Vegas and I got into a scuffle with a couple of them. His response was, "...what the f*ck is THAT thing?!"

Fallout 1:

Scariest meeting for the first time: Deathclaws, by far. Those things are fucking crazy in Fallout 1.

Scariest once you know how badass they are: Super Mutants, by far. Until late-game, whenever I get a random encounter with Super Mutants i'm like "shit shit shit shit!"

Joba tett no other things are scary than...A STUPID QUESTION YOU ASK NOWWW!!!!ssdfdddd

there's nothing scarry in the game only if you're an 4 years old fat kid who eats Fastfood and junkfood

This hurts my feelings.

Everything I found a little creepy back in the days came from the original Fallout:

> Deathclaws
First time I encountered the one in caverns in the Hub I was like "Holy fuck, nope", after all those legends Buck and Harold told about it.

> Master
He's one hell of a creeper, with all these weirdly disturbing voices and fanatical lust for humans.

> Ghouls
They weren't happy friends like in F2, they were scary creatures. When I first went to the Necropolis, I found out why is it called like that.

> Supermutants
It was trully a suprise to getting used killing all Ghouls in Necropolis, getting all cocky and then seeing these fellas going "So you think you're good, because you've got yourself some rifle?".

> Psionics in Master's Vault
They were really, really weird; the thing they were saying were quite disturbing.

> Glow
This place was really creepy. Big, radiated hole with dead bodies.

> Cathedral
Well, that is probably the most creepy place in the whole game. I saw it for the first time, encountered all these damn fanatics and zealots just staring at the screen on which Morpheus was speaking, these invisible supermutants and, of course, this poor dog Sasha I couldn't get to.

I'd put Master down but I wouldn't consider him a critter. He was my favorite Boss in fallout and probably gaming period. Definitely a unique, creepy and interesting character.

Centaurs are really scary (in term of creepiness) to me, especially in Fallout 3

If a centaur gets anywhere too close to me in a tunnel I would probably just nope out of there and shoot a mini-nuke at it from Tenpenny tower.
