So what story lines are left to tap for DLC

Since F:NV's areas tend to be geographically accurate, I did a Google Maps search for New Canaan and Sierra Madre.

Ogden, Utah, where New Canaan is founded, is way to the northeast of Nellis, which would most likely require being Idolized by Caesar's Legion as well as some very fast travel to the location.

Sierra Madre, CA is located just to the northeast of Los Angeles, both of which are well to the southwest of the in-game Mojave Outpost. Same situation as New Canaan, except this is most likely NCR/BoS territory.

I am not so sure these two places will exist, especially since there are so many areas in game to open up for DLC purposes, such as the area directly southwest of Mojave Outpost, all the way northwest of Westside, and probably in the southeastern portion of the map as well (not sure, I haven't done any Legion stuff yet so I haven't been there).

I personally hope that the first DLC (or at least any of the planned ones) will add more content to existing locations in the gameworld that feel empty in the moment.

Wasn't New Canaan (going) in Van Buren?

I think that's where the mormons are, i've always wanted to know more about them.

Yes, it was. But I doubt it will be in FNV DLC, as I doubt Bethesda would want to tackle such controversial issues as Mormonism, especially if done similarly to Van Buren.

The one thing that got me is ARCHIMEDES II. Usually when Roman Numerals are used in a name as a designation it means there was another one before it. Seeing as the ARCHIMEDES we discover in the game is the 2nd one, where is the first one located, and is there a way to activate that as well?

I think they meant two different weapon functions with ARCHIMEDES II.

ARCHIMEDES I appears to be those small beams that are fired should you turn HELIOS One against NCR, while ARCHIMEDES II is the 'grand finale' weapon.

Hell, I know this isn't the topic, but I gotta ask.

I know that the real Fallout 3 would have been Van Buren, but, is there a playable version of it? Or at least a demo?

I saw a video once and since I'm quite a old-games enthusiast, I thought of giving it a try.

I think Sierra Madre might be made into a DLC... maybe something about a casino heist :smug:

Hmm... could be, but it sounds rather boring, doesn't it?

I just talked to Ringo at the Crimson Caravan again and he is telling, that they set up a caravan up to New Canaan. Now I also think that some future DLC might bring the player up there.

There's a guy from New Reno in one of the small settlements of New Vegas who is being unted down by the the guy who runs New Reno. Any chance of seeing a mission where you help this guy out? It might be a hit story but it would be nice to go back to places like the Hub and Vault 13.

That's Bruce Isaac.

[spoiler:c448481af0]You can hire him during the quest 'Talent Pool' to work for Tommy Torini as a singer at the Tops[/spoiler:c448481af0]

well it looks like its official that Elder Elijah is going to be in Dead money, so at least this DLC isnt completely random with no ties to the story. I'd be curious why a BoS Elder would give a damn about a casino though ...

Well, it's got an intact and high tier pre-war security system. Who knows, maybe there's something else in there too.

Also, if the later DLC's might have ties to the original game, I'd like to see the Canyon Wreckage expanded on.

yeah ... but the qeustion is how much "luzlines" can the wasteland take ? Or super-duper-absolutely-awesome-super-weapons for that matter.

I wish Fallout would regarding that try to get a bit away from all that stuff and move just a bit (not that much!) in a more serious and realistic direction. I mean we had super robots and Helios 1 or if you want Archimedes II (which surprising enough played NO siginificant role in the game ...). So they either come up with a REAL devastating weapon this time or something that would be even better just following Elijah to the end of his quest to find nothing more then a big useless hoax/toy gun. ~ I think that would be a nice change for once.

And then Elijah goes crazy and will not believe that there is nothing useful at the location. :p
