[SPOILERS] Super Mutants in Fallout 3

I think you almost always meet him after you've gotten the Mutie Vault location.

Well...I've met him after finishing the Super Duper Mart quest :P

Hey, if you don't like what they did to Harold, you can at least put him out of his misery like he asks you to. Which in itself seems like an ironic and depressing allegory for the franchise, or at least some people will like to see it that way. Me, I just killed him for the barkskin perk.

[spoiler:9cef7feb98]there are several options to end the quest though, including one where you stop the tree's growth and allow him to live in peace forever in the Oasis, or one where you can accelerate his growth to spread the Oasis into the wasteland[/spoiler:9cef7feb98]

Really? In both my playthroughs I've only him near the Arlington Library after visit the Citadel and finding the location of the Mutie Vault.

That's new to me, maybe I'm just coming to inappropriate conclusions.

Well, Harold is in Fallout 3...

I don't care if Dogmeat is an undead. But Harold is definitely my favorite NPC and what was Bethesda thinking? :(

Did Charles Adler voice Harold in Fallout 3? Cause Harold's dialog in FO3 is awful compare to previous titles.

wtf had happened with mutants?

why they are hostile to you again?

and, what is even more important, where the hell do they come from?

Are they the remainders of the Master army? If so, why there're so many of them?

If not, than how come they are so well equiped?

Well I guess

SPOILERS!

[spoiler:ff830c3dde]These aren't survivors of the Master's Super Mutant, rather they originate from Vault 87.
Apparently at this Vault another FEV experiment took place, EEP; Evolution Experiment Program or something.

A new kind of strain was tested that apparently makes all Super Mutants dumb and aggressive, well dumb enough not to recognize a working Intercom but intelligent to actually do FEV experiments themselves.

You will meet an intelligent Super Mutant in the game though; Fawkes.

As for the weapons, haven't got a clue.

Another FEV experiment, year right. [/spoiler:ff830c3dde]

Behemoths are so stupid... oh well:

They really took care about size differences!

Yeh, it was the first thing I saw. Also the Behemoth is running like a normal supermutant. He is not slow, he is exactly the same, just bigger.

That isn't exactly something easy to ignore, much less for the developers who had to work with it everyday.

Well I had to give it some thought but I can now explain to you what is going on.
You see, this is not a real fire hydrant.

No it is a movie prop, one of those out of proportion common objects which they sometimes use in commercials or children's shows.

See, perfectly explainable.

I also died with one hit. Thats why I killed this Behemoth on a more... well... not really fair kind of way. I was going inside a near building/ruine and was shoting from there at the Behemoth. He couldn't attack me but I could attack him. Lots and many more bullets later I got him.
